You say tomato
Who: Cameron and Liliya
When: Later afternoon
Where: Liliya's office in Ann Arbor
The past few days had been something like hell to put it simply. In the wake of the demons had come even more chaos, more death, more destruction. It was like the world was trying to turn upside down and if something got in the way it was just going to throw something else in the grinds until it worked. And why? The supernaturals, it was all because of the damn supernaturals. At least it'd finally been made clear to people that they weren't as united as they had tried to show themselves to be. Cameron had never believed that, he'd known better right from the sort, no different from humans and all the prejudices that they'd shown for each other over the years. Especially the vampires. They lived off of blood for god's sake! How could anyone think that they viewed the rest of them as anything but a walking food source? The attack on Amanda had been the first bit, but clearly not the last or the worst because at least she was alive. Unlike that poor Korey girl. Who had been killed by a vampire that looked like a werewolf... that wasn't supposed to happen the last time he had checked. Although he was grateful for it because that had been what had driven that vampire to declare that weres were just animals and now the rife could grow.
And yet, despite all that, Berry Days carried on like nothing was the matter. They were even catering to the disgusting abominations like their business was as good as anyone elses. Cameron was going to show up one day to prove he wasn't bothered by their presence, even though he was, but today wasn't that day. No, today he was going to find a certain vampire politician to ask a few questions and possibly to gloat. Because while he was bothered by all the activity at least it was doing good things for his side of the argument. Vampires killing people, hybrid weres fighting, neither side able to settle... yes, it was like Christmas had come early and he wanted to see if it'd worn Liliya down yet. Sadly, Trigger had left without giving him anything useful but this could prove to be just as good. So he'd called and made an appointment for late afternoon when she returned from Chicago. Not that he was surprised that she'd been gone, probably off doing damage control. Smirking to himself at the thought, and wishing he'd been clever enough to engineer something like this, Cameron idly picked up a magazine and began to flip through as he waited.
