Some Time Alone
Who: Jessalyn and Madock
When: Post graduation
Where: Graduation, Madock's car, a pond
nsfw
After the graduation ceremony commenced, Jessalyn waited with her family until she was able to see Ransom and give him a big hug and kiss. Afterward, she began to move through the crowded throng of people to find Madock. There were so many caps and gowns, that for most people it would be impossible to track on specific person, but Jessalyn had great sense of direction and smell, and she had already memorized Madock's scent. It didn't take her very long to find him and when she did, she threw her arms around him in another big hug. "Congrats! You're officially an adult now. Well, you already were because you're eighteen, but now you really are."
Madock was a bit surprised she'd been able to find him. Especially when he'd been looking for her for quite a bit already and she wasn't even dressed in the cap and gown. He let his arms move around the girl when she hugged him and grinned a little. "All grown up." he chuckled. "Now if I can just get my mother to stop crying." he said, kind of rolling his eyes a little. "I think she's going to be sobbing for the rest of the week because her babies are grown ups now or something like that."
"Tell her to have eight more," Jessalyn teased. "Then she'll be more than ready to be getting rid of you by the end of it. Besides, I've always heard that you could be forty years old and still be your mom's baby." She leaned up to brush a kiss against his cheek. "Are you going out with your family? Or can I steal you away for awhile?"
"I think mom is going to be busy being upset and Claire... she's probably going to hang with Gabe, who knows. But yeah, you can steal me away." he grinned. "I'd like that." Really like that actually. Madock had been looking forward more to spending time with Jessalyn since the previous day when he'd dropped her off. "So, where ya wanna go?" he asked.
"Well, I know we just went swimming yesterday, but we talked about going back to the dock and swimming alone for awhile," Jess said with a grin. "If you're up for it, anyway. It'll be nice and private." As long as no shifters or weres came running through the woods surrounding it.
"Alright." he nodded. "Works for me, I need to stop by my house though to grab a pair of trunks though. You got a swimsuit or are we gonna stop by your place too?" Madock grinned.
"No, I've got one on underneath my clothes," Jessalyn said with a smile. She had definitely come prepared. "Did you drive?" She didn't know if he drove with his parents, or his sister, and she definitely didn't want him leaving his sister behind if she needed a way home.
"I drove myself. Claire rode with me this morning, but I can tell her to ride with mom or Gabe." he said, pulling his phone from his jeans beneath the gown. Madock texted out a quick message to his sister to see if she could get a ride with their mother or with Gabe and waited for her to respond. "Won't take long for me to change real quick." he told her. "Just a quick run by the house, ya know, I could probably drop Claire off if she needs me too." He texted Claire again to ask if she wanted him to drop her off. "She's probably think I'm going nuts or something asking her all these questions and then changing my mind." he chuckled.
"She's your sister, I'm sure she's used to it by now," Jessalyn pointed out. She had thought she'd seen Claire earlier, but she didn't know his sister's scent as well as his. She had never really even talked to the other girl much. "Oh! And before I forget, Charlie invited me on a camping trip with her and Ransom next week. And I think Gabe is going... and she mentioned inviting you too... so, head's up! If that sounds like something you would want to do," she added with a grin. "Not all boys are the outdoorsy type." Though she had a feeling Madock was, since he liked being outside and playing sports.
Madock smiled. "So long as Charlie's alright with me going, sure." he said, nodding. "Outdoors is just peachy." he chuckled. "And some time out in the woods with you could be fun." he said, just as his phone went off. "Claire's riding with Gabe. She says I'm a spaz." he grinned. "So, lets head to my place long enough for me to change and we'll go swimming then."
"She is! She told me so." Which was part of the reason Jess had been so excited about the trip itself. She slipped her hand into his to start walking with him out of the crowd of people and to his car. "I love being outdoors more than anything. I haven't been camping in a really long time, so I'm excited for it. Especially if Ransom will be there, and Charlie. I think if Gabe goes, he would probably ask your sister to go too, right? So that's even better."
Again he grinned, unable to hold it back. Jessalyn just seemed so excited at the prospect of going camping. It really didn't matter if it was because he was going to be there too or not. He liked seeing her excited and happy. It was cute. "Alright then. Guess I'm going camping... but right now, we're going swimming." he said, taking his cap off holding it in one hand, reaching out to take her hand with the other. He lead her through the crowd and finally managed to get to his car again, letting her into the passenger seat and then climbing in the driver's seat himself. A quick stop at his house so he could change into his swim trunks, bringing a spare set of clothes and a couple of towels and they were en route to the pond again. "I talked to your brother yesterday." he said. "I don't remember if I told you that last night or not. Did Claire ever talk to you at the party?"
"Ransom?" She didn't know what other brother he could have possibly talked to, so yes, it was obviously Ransom. "I hope he was nice to you." Jessalyn knew Ransom would never be outwardly rude to anyone, least of all the boy Jessalyn liked. "I didn't really see your sister all that much, to be honest. And when I did, she was talking to someone, or I was... I'm sure I'll see her at Gabe's party tonight though, right? Maybe I can corner her and properly introduce myself."
"He was nice." Madock told her as he drove in the direction of the pond. "Just wanted to say hey and stuff, but nothing bad. He's cool. I wanna get a chance to meet the rest of your family though. So um... think we could arrange that sometime?" he asked. "I mean, I kinda feel bad meeting just the one when there are so many other ones."
"Sure! I'm sure they would all like to meet you." She grinned at the thought. "It can be a bit overwhelming at first... but if you can handle it, then totally. Maybe you can come over for dinner or something next week? I bet mom and dad would love to talk to you. What about your family? Do I get to meet them too?"
He nodded. "Yeah, you can meet them." he said with a nod. He was fairly certain his father could contain himself for a night to meet his son's girlfriend. At least he hoped he could. "Just... if my dad says anything... jerkish... just ignore him. Mom's great, she won't mind having you over for dinner or something. But yeah, if your parents are cool with another dinner guest that'd work."
Jessalyn remembered what he had said about his dad. She was betting that the man had a strange, mean smell to him. "I will. And I promise my parents would love having you over. As long as you can withstand constant teasing from my brothers and sisters." She knew they were all curious about Madock, but she wasn't quite ready to share him yet.
"Constant teasing huh? Gonna be just like home with Claire." he grinned. Of course it'd be a little worse than just Claire because it would be teasing multiplied. Madock didn't mind however, in fact, he was pretty much looking forward to it. Getting to meet a family that actually got a long a little better than his own. He always marveled at the way mothers and fathers interacted when they actually liked each other. Most of the time he doubted that his father still loved his mother, but he'd never bring it up out loud. Not to his father at least. But that wasn't something he wanted to think about now, not when they were approaching the pond. He parked where he had the previous day and collected the towels from his back seat. "Alright. Ready to swim?"
"It might be like being home with Claire... only home with Claire times eight." Hopefully her brothers and sisters wouldn't embarrass her too much. She doubted they would. Jessalyn didn't embarrass easily. "I'm ready!" She began to walk with him back down the path to the dock and pond. "It's nice not having to worry about school tomorrow... or for the rest of the summer. Are you going to be working more that school's out?"
"Probably." he nodded. "But the days'll be more concentrated towards the busiest times and stuff. Nights of course and weekends sometimes, but that just means we'll have to save our dates for the afternoons and mornings. And it won't be every night at least." Madock said. "And as much as I don't wanna have to go to work, just means I'll be able to take you on real dates and stuff. Cash flow is nice sometimes."
She nodded. "That's okay... I can keep myself busy at night when you're not around." It would give her time to shift and go running by herself, or with her family. Jessalyn smiled, but gave him an odd look. "I don't need real dates. I like this... just being around you. You don't have to spend money on me or anything."
"I know..." he told her. "But I want to..." It was hard for him to explain what he meant and he knew no matter how he said it, it'd probably come out sounding like he wanted to show her off. And maybe in part, that was exactly the reason. "I just want... to be able to sometimes take you out and show you a good time and I don't know... let everyone know that we're together." he shrugged. "Maybe that sounds dumb or whatever, but I like you and I want other people to know that I like you too and part of that is going out to dinner or movies or... whatever you'd like to do really." Madock said, giving her hand a little squeeze.
"That doesn't sound dumb," Jessalyn promised, squeezing his hand again. She would have to make up for her lack of money by making him things. Which she fully intended on doing. "I like you too and I really wouldn't mind showing you off to people." She grinned up at him and pulled him along to the water. "I like dinner, and movies... and swimming. And the football field. I like the carnival, and mini golfing... and just hanging out with you. That's good too."
Madock followed her to the water, listening as she called off things she liked to do. "Oh, I like the football field too." he grinned. "And swimming is good too... especially when it's like this." Alone and with her looking so damn cute. God. Did she have to be so cute? He tossed the towels down on the dock by his sandals and turned to face her. "So, are you as fast in the water as you are on land?" he asked.
"I'm definitely better on land," she admitted, toeing off her sandals before she untied her skirt at the waist and let it drop and pool around her ankles. "But I can swim pretty well! Why, are you looking to race?" Jessalyn teased before pulling her top off. "Because you might end up going 0-2 if that's the case."
His breath caught in his throat when she pulled her skirt and her top off. He bit his lower lip and the words she said just fluttered in one ear and right out the other, not sticking to anything. She could have told him the secret to life and he'd not have noticed it at all. When she stopped talking however, the realization that he was staring hit him and he blinked and shook his head and changed the subject to keep from getting caught staring and not listening. "Come on, let's swim."
She realized she was beginning to be able to tell when he was distracted... which was kind of funny since they had only been hanging out a couple of days. She was wearing the same bathing suit she had on at Charlotte's party, so it was nothing new to look at, but apparently it was since Madock was staring. Which was okay since she found it pretty flattering. She grinned and stepped out of her skirt. "Okay..." There was no hesitation on her part, and Jessalyn turned to jump off the side of the dock into the water. It was warm and more natural smelling since it wasn't filled with chlorine.
Madock was pleased that she'd said nothing about his staring and once he was sure that she wasn't beneath him in the water, he followed her in. Leaping off the edge of the dock, he went under. This swimming he definitely preferred to pool swimming. The chlorine was never a favorite smell of his. Coming back up for air, he brushed his hair bac and wiped the water from his face and glanced around for Jessalyn.
She surfaced a few moments after Madock did, wiping the water from her face before she smoothed her wet hair back. Jessalyn smiled at him and swam over to where he was. "It's nice here... much less crowded than a pool." And there was a lot more privacy, which she loved. It was especially nice sharing the place with Madock, since she usually swam here alone.
He grinned at her and closed the distance between them, nodding a little. "Less crowded is good." he said with a little grin. Do you have to be so freaking sexy all wet like that? "You come here a lot?" he questioned. "To swim and stuff?"
Jessalyn reached out to place her hands on his shoulders before wrapping them around his neck. She didn't cling to him, since she didn't want him to sink or anything. "All the time in the summer," she said with a small nod. "Sometimes my brothers and sisters come with me, but most of the time I'm here by myself. It's nice and quiet and private and I can think and stuff without having a bunch of noise in my ears. It's kind of like my place to go when I need to... have time for myself."
He smiled at her when she touched him, wrapped her arms around him. His eyes caught hers and he listened as she spoke. "So... this is kinda like... your football field pretty much?" Madock asked. The football field was where he liked to go when he needed to think and be alone so he figured this was the same type of thing.
"Yes, I guess you could say that. When you have a family as big as mine, sometimes you need someplace to go for some privacy and unfortunately locking myself in the bathroom isn't all that effective." Her fingers slid through the wet hair at the nape of his neck. "It's really fun to come here at nighttime, when the stars are out and the moon is like, the only light you have. Sounds cheesy, but it's really relaxing."
Great, now she was talking about the dark and the moon and the water and all he could picture were very, very naughty things that he really shouldn't be picturing because she was a nice respectable girl and he wasn't supposed to be thinking like that. "Sounds nice." Madock said with a little nod. "You do that a lot then?" he asked. "Come out here at night or whatever?" Why are you asking her about that? Do you want to keep those mental images in your head? Okay... well yeah, you do, but that's really not the point.
"Yes." Jessalyn grinned, since he had kind of already asked her that. She wondered if he was distracted by his thoughts, or by her hanging onto him the way she was. Without thinking, Jessalyn leaned in to nuzzled against his neck. She could smell a small spike in his testosterone, and she could hear the mild quickening of his heart. It sort of affected her own hormones, since it was in her nature to be receptive to those things. "Night is my favorite part of the day. It's calming and mysterious and you can get away with a lot more when the sun goes down."
His breath caught in his throat. Get away with a lot more? There were things that he'd love to get away with. Her being as close to him as she was, nuzzling against his neck and saying things like that was slowly starting to make that pretty apparent. "Y-yeah." he agreed, letting his hands find her hips as he moved a bit in the water to where he could stand on the bottom of the pool of water. It was easier that way. He could still touch her, touch her more actually, and not have to worry about drowning.
Pulling back from his neck, Jessalyn brushed her lips against his before smiling. "I'm not making you uncomfortable, am I?" It certainly didn't seem like it. His reactions to her were adorable, in her opinion. She thought maybe she ought to swim away from him though, so that he didn't spontaneously combust or something.
"N-no." he said, shaking his head. She was making Madock a lot of things, but uncomfortable wasn't one of them. "You're not." he assured her, letting his lips find hers again. Kissing was good, really good actually. Madock smiled lightly against her lips and then moved his mouth away from hers, trailing it over her cheek and down to her neck. If she could make him feel the way she did with her neck touches, he wanted to see what he could do to her by doing the same.
"Good..." The stammering just added to the adorableness, she thought. Her arms tightened around him a bit when his lips began moving away from her lips to her neck. Despite being in warm water, she felt goosebumps raise all over. It felt really nice and she would have to be careful not to sink into the water from how good it felt. It was pure instinct that had her legs coming around underwater to wrap around his hips. She wasn't concerned about dragging him under, since she could tell he was touching the bottom, and she was light enough as it was, the water just added to it.
It might not have been meant to be so damn sexy, but it was. Her legs wrapped around him like that was just hot and his hands slid away from her hips, trailing around her body and coming to rest against her backside in the water. Hey, he could say he was just helping her keep above the water which was maybe a sliver true. Madock didn't move his lips away from her neck, instead he parted them just a bit and lightly bit her skin.
Jessalyn found she liked being pressed against him that way. With only his swimming trunks on, she could... feel him. Which didn't shame or embarrass her, since she had felt him a lot more intimately than this on the football field. She just wished she could keep her hormones in check around him, but he made it so difficult. She shivered when she felt his teeth on her skin and she giggled a bit before ducking her head around to nibble at his earlobe. She had never even brought a boy unrelated to her pond, let alone kissed one in it. It was the best experience.
Madock grinned against her flesh, liking the sound of that little giggle. Liking the smell of her skin, the feel of her body all wet and pressed against him like that. His boy brain ran through a slew of little fantasies, but it stopped right around dirty little things to do in a pond. "I'm starting to think that you're a witch." he teased. "Can't seem to get my mind off of you sometimes and that's just... so weird for me." he admitted. "I mean... a good kind of weird but for me to lock... to lock on something, someone in particular. It's just... new."
"I promise I'm no witch," Jessalyn said with an easy smile. She thought it was really flattering that he liked her that much, and kind of funny that he would lock onto someone who at times got as easily distracted as he did. "I'm glad it's a good kind of weird though. It's kind of how I feel about it. I've been around a lot of boys before, but none of them..." smell quite as nice as you do. "... none of them really caught my attention." She wondered if she ought to tell him what she was. Just so he knew... so he wouldn't freak out if he found out later, or from someone else.
"I catch your attention?" he questioned, arching a brow at her and then grinning. "Good. Great. Grand." More than that really because that was just buckets full of awesome. "You feel really good." he said, letting his thoughts slip forth. "I mean... not... yeah okay... oops."
She laughed and leaned in close to him. "You feel really good too." Everything felt positioned just right, and even though they weren't doing anything, it still sent pleasant shivers down her spine. "As shallow as it's going to make me sound, I really like your body."
Madock smiled at that. "I really like your body too." he admitted. He could do things like that since she'd already said the same about him. "And it doesn't make you sound shallow." he added.
"That's a relief," she teased, her arms loosening around him as her hands slid over his shoulders again. They dipped below the water to his waist. She really did like his body. All hardness and muscle. "Are you feeling a bit adventurous?"
He arched a brow at her. "Adventurous?" he asked. "I guess it depends on what you're wanting me to do." Madock smiled. "What'd you have in mind?"
"You don't have to do anything, if you don't want to," Jessalyn assured him with a smile. She brought her hands up out of the water and reached behind her neck to untie the string to her top. "But usually when I come here to swim alone, I don't wear a swim suit." She pulled off her top and released her legs from around his waist to swim back a little bit. "It's totally up to you!"
Madock couldn't help but wonder if it was possible for an eighteen year old boy to have a heart attack because, well, he thought he might be having one. His eyes went a little wide and despite his brain telling him that it was bad to stare, they went straight for her chest. Her chest without any clothes on it! "I uh... I um... I-I..." Am a stuttering idiot. He found the strong urge to touch, to reach out and grab hold of her to keep from having her swim away from him, to look, to watch, but damn more than anything else he wanted to feel. "Wow."
He was stammering again, and she smiled at him before she kicked her legs and moved towards him again. "Is that a good wow?" She was partially covered by the water, but it wasn't like she had big breasts. But he didn't seem to mind. She reached below, shifted a bit, and then pulled off her bikini bottoms. She loved swimming naked, even though she was sure it would be embarrassing for whoever happened to come by and catch her. Thankfully no one ever had yet. Once she was done, she dropped her suit in the water and wrapped her arms around his neck again.
Holy shit. She was there in front of him, naked. No clothes. Naked. Without clothing. Touching him. Madock's fingers immediately slid to her waist. They wanted to move upwards, or downwards for that matter, but he didn't want be too forward, but... she was naked. He nodded. "A good wow." he managed. "Definitely a good wow."
"Good." She brushed her lips against his again before she released him and began to swim backward, her arms over her head and her toes poking up through the water. "Are you going to join me? It's just like taking a bath... and no one's going to come around and see, I promise."
He bit his bottom lip and collected her suit from the water, swimming over to the dock and laying it in the sun. After a little shifting, he managed to get his own trunks free and pulled them from the water to drop on the dock too. I can't believe I'm doing this. he thought to himself. Skinny dipping in a pond with Jessalyn. Stop thinking about what you're doing or you're really going to embarrass yourself. He shook his head and swam back to her. "I can't believe I'm doing this." he said aloud this time.
Jessalyn watched him, excited and pleased that he was actually going to skinny dip with her. "No?" She grinned and continued to swim, allowing herself to stop and float every few strokes. "Now you can cross it off of your list of things you've never done before. You're underwater, so no one's going to see anything anyway. And it feels better, doesn't it? Less restricting?"
"Yeah, I guess but... you're... there and... what if..." he shook his head a little and flushed, red rushing across his cheek and down his neck. God he wanted to swim over there and touch her, feel her, run his fingers over her body and memorize every single curve. "It's different." he shrugged, swimming in her direction.
Jessalyn stopped swimming and floated there while he swam toward her. She could see the flush on his cheeks, but she was sure once he got used to it, he would be more comfortable. "What if what?" she asked, leaning back to dip her head in the water and re-wet her hair. "I know it's different... you'll get used to it. And if you don't, you can always put your trunks back on."
"What if touch something I'm not supposed to touch..." he said, eyes on the water when she leaned back into the water. He waited til she'd gotten upright again before letting his eyes find hers. "I mean... with clothes I know where I'm not supposed to touch or whatever and... without... what if I... make you uncomfortable or something?"
"You've touched things already," Jessalyn pointed out before she swam the rest of the small distance between them. "And you won't make me uncomfortable. If I thought I would be uncomfortable, I would have left the swim suit on." Her hands came up to his shoulders again and she gave him a reassuring smile. "I'm comfortable with you, and I know you won't do anything I don't want you to."
She had a point, he supposed, but it was hard to tell himself that and actually make himself believe that he wouldn't do something to upset her. "Yeah.." he said softly, nodding a little and cautiously lifting his hands, letting them come to rest at her hips. "I'm glad you're comfortable with me." Madock said.
"Are you comfortable with me?" Jessalyn asked, tilting her head slightly. Her arms slid over his shoulders as she used him to pull herself closer until their chests brushed against each other. She could feel his heart pounding in his chest. She wanted him to be at ease with her, and maybe eventually he would be. Jessalyn had unconventional ways of going about things, and this was one of them.
He swallowed air when she pressed against him like that. He could feel her chest against his, feel the slight curve of softness against his bit of muscle. He nodded, mostly because Madock couldn't seem to find words to speak.
She smiled and leaned in to kiss his jaw. "You know, I would have never pegged you as the shy type in school... you're always talking to people, and outgoing and funny and everything... I'm taking it as a compliment that I can make you speechless." And since he couldn't seem to talk, Jessalyn moved her lips up to capture his, kissing him properly.
Madock kissed her back and tried to picture her with clothes on to keep himself and his hormones in check. After a long moment, he pulled back just a bit from her lips and smiled a bit. "I think your tactics are a bit different than most people." he pointed out. "Guess it just takes a little nudity to turn my voice switch off." he teased, kissing her once more. "That and the fact that you're pretty hot when you're naked and making out in the pond? Awesome."
"My tactics work though, don't they?" She nuzzled her nose against his. "And you're hot too, when you're naked and making out in my pond. As long as it's with me," she added with a grin. "I feel like I ought to pull away and splash you a bit, but I can't seem to do it. I like touching you way too much."
His hormones were speaking a lot louder than anything else in his brain and he slid his hand around her waist, pulling her flush against him. It took all he had not to let out a pleased little grunt when he felt her warm body against his, but he managed. "Then don't pull away." he whispered. Madock tilted his head and caught her lips again and tried his best to have a mental conversation with his dick, but apparently Mr. Happy wasn't willing to listen.
Jessalyn slipped her legs around his waist again, though she was careful to keep, er, Mr. Happy! from coming to close. Just in case. She kissed him deeply, her fingers pushing through his wet hair. She didn't want to pull away at all, and had no intentions to right now. He felt way too nice, and smelled way too good, that he would probably have to forcibly remove her if he wanted to stop. Because naked skin on naked skin was probably the best feeling ever.
Yeah, the conversation with his cock? Totally not working. It wasn't listening. Hell, it was doing everything it probably shouldn't do, like sending him all those thoughts of how easy it would be for them to just... No! Stop. Stop thinking. Fuck. Fuck. No, no fucking! God. Fuck. Damn it! And she just had to be kissing him like that, brushing her fingers through his hair that way. Wrapping her legs around him and... damn it was too hard, in more ways than one, to really be able to stop even if he wanted to. His fingers slid away from her hips and down to her back end again, just like before, lightly grasping at the curve of her ass. No clothes between his fingers and her skin and she was so close to him... so close. He pulled his lips from hers and let out a shaky little breath. "You're such a tease..." he whispered. "You have no idea how..." he paused to replace 'hard' with a word that didn't make him think about how hard he was. "Difficult it is to be good."
Jess pulled back breathlessly and smiled, despite the pounding of her own heart. She could feel him between their bodies, and he was definitely turned on. She thought maybe it had been a bad idea to get undressed with him, but she was pretty confident she wouldn't make any stupid decisions. And she felt like if she told him what she was now, it would totally ruin the moment. "I don't mean to tease," Jessalyn murmured, though her hips wanted to press against his in the worst way. "I think we're doing a pretty good job of being good... and I like kissing you. And touching you. I don't want to stop yet."
"Me either..." he admitted. He didn't want to stop. Hell, he wanted to do more but he was keeping himself from doing anything that he might regret later. Water wasn't exactly birth control and the last thing he needed was the first time he had sex to turn him into a father. Yeah, not going to happen. But god, she was so close and felt so damn good and fuck it was hard to not just roll his hips against hers. "You know I'm gonna so have mental pictures of you in my brain for the rest of eternity right?" he whispered.
"Then my tactics are working," Jessalyn teased, leaning in to nip at his lip. She probably should have thought about how unnerving it should be that it felt right to be there with him like that. Because a part of her would have gladly let him do whatever he wanted to do, despite the consequences. She certainly didn't think she was like Ransom, who she believed already found his mate so young... Jessalyn was sure that was a rare thing, and she had only been with Madock an incrediby short time. But... still. "Maybe we should just swim for awhile," she suggested, flicking her tongue against his lip after she's bitten it gently. "Cool off?"
"Maybe we should..." he said softly, though he really didn't want to. He wanted to keep her right where she was, pressing so close against him. Warm and soft and wet and perfect. He swallowed just a bit and let his eyes find hers. "You know I really like you right?" he questioned. "And you know I'd never ask you to do anything you weren't ready to do, right?" She needed to know that he wasn't like everyone else. Needed to know that he really did like her just for being her.
She smiled, feeling that familiar warmth flow through her when he said something like that. "I know. And I really like you too... and I don't want you to feel like... we have to do anything you're not ready for." Jessalyn licked her lips and glanced down at the water between them before her eyes met his eyes. "I'm a werewolf, Madock. I didn't know if I should tell you this soon or not, but I really do like you, and I don't want it to come up later and ruin things."
Madock blinked at her, and then shook his head. Then he laughed and shook his head again. "I'm sorry, I could have sworn you just said you were a werewolf." he said, thinking he'd misheard her, or imagined what he thought she'd said. There was no way she could have said that, right? Werewolves existed, sure, but not people he knew.
Jessalyn smiled, despite feeling that first bit of worry inside after he'd laughed. It was just a natural instinctive reaction for her - to smile, even if her inner mood didn't match the feeling. "I am... I mean, I did say that. I'm a born werewolf. So is the rest of my family... I don't really tell people. But since May, I thought maybe it's a bit safer to tell. And I trust you. I didn't really want to keep it from you anymore."
The smile on his face faded and his eyes widened a bit in surprise. Lips parted as if he were going to speak, but what do you say to that? How do you respond to your new girlfriend letting you in on the little tidbit that she just happens to be a werewolf. "Um... okay. So... what does that mean?" he questioned. "I don't... I mean... I don't really know much about... that particular... thing... so... what does that mean for us?" he asked. That was the question on Madock's mind first and foremost. Was she regretting being with him now? Was this the best break up excuse ever?
She licked her lips before answering. "It just means... that once a month I'm not myself," Jessalyn explained. "I mean, I'm me, only a wolf. I can shift whenever I want, but the full moon, it's forced on me, whether I want to or not. What it means for us is, nothing needs to change." She hoped it wouldn't anyway. Her eyes watched his. "The only thing is, I... can't have sex with you. Unless you don't mind me sticking to you for the rest of my life. Wolves mate for life, which is why I'm still, well one of the reasons why, I'm still a virgin." She was expecting him to want to break up and leave, because what boy his age wanted a relationship without sex?
He just looked at her, listening to the words she spoke. Picking them apart a syllable at a time. Repeating them back to himself and trying to grasp the concept of everything the girl said. "So we just don't have sex and one night a month you run around like a wolf?" he asked. Madock didn't really see what was so bad about that. Hell, it got him off the hook with the sex thing in a way because he was already so very nervous about it to begin with. He wasn't really in a particular rush to leap into bed with anyone at all. He couldn't help but wonder if he should maybe tell her about himself as well, but he wasn't sure if she'd want to know. Wasn't sure if she'd feel that it was an invasion of pivacy or something.
"Pretty much, yes." Jessalyn laughed softly and nodded. "I mean, we can do other things. Just not penetration, you know?" The filter seemed to have vanished again. "And I know that's not very comforting or anything. And if you don't want to be with me anymore, I mean, I understand why... that's why I wanted to tell you now rather than wait until later, especially if this becomes more serious. The wolf thing only means I have heightened senses and change at the full moon." She really hoped he would be okay with the whole thing, but she didn't know.
"So as long as we don't like... go completely all the way we can do whatever else?" he asked. Obviously since she'd given him a hand job, but his filter was flickering in and out and he was half tempted to ask about blow jobs while they were on the topic. "Okay." he said instead. "Well... it doesn't really matter then I guess. I mean... it's just like... one night and no sex and I'm not really sure what I'm missing anyway. Eighteen years already, not like a while longer is going to hurt me any, but I need to tell you something now, while we're being honest with each other."
"Exactly... I'm glad it doesn't matter. I think for most guys it would." She felt relieved and happy that he didn't seem to mind what she was, or what they couldn't do. That didn't mean she wouldn't make it as good for him as she could, when she could. She tilted her head curiously with a smile. "What do you need to tell me?"
"I see things." he told her, because that was the easiest way to put it. She'd just dropped the werewolf bomb on him and he doubted she'd freak out, but there was still the slightest bit of fear of what she would think. "When I touch something... or someone... I can see things. Bits of the past of the person or the thing... Like when I touched your dress the other night... I could see you making it." he explained.
Jessalyn's brows drew together thoughtfully as she studied him. "So your clairsentient?" She had heard of those kind of psychics but she had never actually met one. "Is it just when you touch objects? Or is it when you touch people too?" She didn't mind it, though she figured it was good she told him what she was... she didn't want him to eventually touch her and see her as a werewolf.
He shrugged a little. "When I touch... anything." he explained. "And I can't turn it off. It's just... there all the time. I try to ignore it a lot, but sometimes it's kinda hard." Madock said. He reached up to brush his fingers through her wet hair, letting himself watch the little pictures that ran through his head. "Your hair brush is yellow." he said. "I can see you brushing your hair before you left for graduation this morning."
Jessalyn's eyes widened briefly before she smiled. "That's right. Wow! I've never met anyone who could do that... so does that mean you're careful about what you touch? Or who you touch? Have you ever seen anything really neat?"
"I'm not really careful about who or what I touch really." he shrugged. "It's kinda just always been there and it's hard to not touch stuff or people. I just... ignore it most of the time. Sometimes it's cool, sometimes it's not. Sometimes I wish it would just go away or something, but I guess it's not so bad. Claire said it might help me out if I was like a police officer or something. Being able to see where people have been and where a weapon has been and stuff like that." He shrugged again and let his fingers move away from her hair. "I've seen interesting things. I know that my ninth grade English teacher was cheating on her husband with her gardener." he chuckled. "Course that one was kinda nasty because I brushed my hand across hers taking a paper and got a flash of their... festivities."
"Ew." Jessalyn wrinkled her nose. "I guess it wouldn't be so much fun getting flashes of things like that. But your sister is probably right... if you chose the right profession, your ability might be really handy, you know? But I think it's cool." Her arms tightened around him and she leaned in to kiss him softly. It wasn't like she had things she was ashamed of and didn't want him to see. And she felt a bit better about telling him what she was, now that she knew he was something too.
