Having doubted that there'd even be such a locket, Karine wasn't surprised when Adelle came up empty handed. She tried to appear such however, sighing and closing the box before setting it aside. "I'm sorry, Adi, if I find it I'll make sure you know," her voice even rang with sincerity. Well damn, Adelle had the cutest pout. This really could be fun, even if Whisper wasn't there. She wouldn't mind if Karine got Adelle wanting to come back even more. What was key? No more talk of that locket for one, it was some sort of connection to those human friends and not to be discussed.
"Sit with me," Karine encouraged, reaching out to close her fingers around Adelle's wrist and tug lightly, guiding the siren to sit next to her. "Now, I know you don't know me but I've known many sirens over the years... most of whom live quite fulfilling lives while still doing what they're meant to." Again, there was that warmth in Karine's voice and she kept her hand on the bed next to Adelle. "Wouldn't you like to talk about the last time you gave into your urges? I'm sure it felt lovely, like doing what you wanted and needed so bad." She reached up, tucking back a piece of the brunette's hair and carefully avoiding touching her neck again. Best to show no desire to go near that no matter how much she wanted to find out what Whisper had tasted.
