The siren let herself be whisked away to the bathroom and didn't protest when she was helped up onto the counter. At this point, being taken care of like this was better than bawling her eyes out in front of somebody she didn't even know. Hopefully she'd never know Karine enough to be comfortable with it. That would entail being in the house again, and again, probably more times than she was willing to think of right now. It was bad enough that she was being told by a vampire that she needed to except who she was. But it made sense, from one creature of death to the other. Adelle tried hard not to think about the utter delight she got from killing, but all it did was send a shiver of pleasure down her spine.
The shiver caused her to wiggle her body on the counter. Fearing for her eyes, she pulled her head back to avoid the scented soap that the vampire held to-- a vampire was about to wash her dirty, tear-salted face. Oh God, her life was going on a one way trip faster than a bullet train and the junction of good and evil was coming up fast. Mentally, if she could build a detour maybe there would be hope for her yet. Adelle was beginning to fear that she was doomed to not really be in control. She would kill or be killed.
And then Karine spoke about looking in the mirror and how pretty she was. As much as she liked hearing it, she didn't want to, not from anymore vampires. Vampires could keep their mouths shut and away from her neck for the time being. Wait, what did she mean she wouldn't be in the house. What? "What?"
