Happy birthday to me
Who: Kikuya, Whisper, and bunch of NPCs, namely the Akuno family
Where: Mix Lounge in Las Vegas, Nevada
When: Evening...? Who the hell cares, it's Vegas!
Turning 33 was probably not that big of a deal to most people, but to a supermodel like Kikuya, it was the biggest deal on the planet. It was the one night where everything had to revolve around. Like, for real. She always did her best to make sure things always went her way on a daily basis, but this was her birthday and it was all about her. There was absolutely no excuse for people to not pay attention to her. Besides, she rented out the entire freaking club for the occasion - because she would have rather been caught dead in last season's Prada shoes than partying in some nobody town like Scarlet Oak - not to mention invited only the A-list members of the fashion world, they better have paid their respects to the model.
And pay their respects they did. Kikuya rarely smiled outside of the media limelight, but with so many people sending her birthday wishes and gifts... well, who couldn't smile over that? So many designers had set her up with a variety of free samples that weren't even available to the public yet, which made Kikuya rather giddy, but at the same time she knew she had to clean out her already jam packed closets with some of her less favorable items. Perhaps she could bait Ravyn with some of the shinies when she went back home. It was also a pleasure to see so many models run up to her and give her hugs and exclaim how much they missed her in the fashion world and how she needed to come back. Even the various magazine editors said they couldn't wait to have Kikuya back at full force so they could have her on the front cover of their magazine. Her image did sell, and the very idea that people wanted her back only made her grin grow.
After dancing to a few songs with her fellow models, Kikuya headed back to the massive booth her father and brother were chilling at. She smoothed out her dress as she settled down, grabbing one of the waitresses and demanding for a bottle of water and a Grey Goose. Flipping her curly tresses over her shoulder, Kikuya grinned at her father, who merely smiled back.
"Enjoying your birthday, Kiki?" Subaru question in their native tongue.
"Of course I am, this is perfect. Everyone is just being fabulous to me and only me."
"That's because they're just kissing some serious ass to you," Eiji rolled his eyes before his head whipped forehead as if being smacked by some invisible force. "OW! What the hell was that for?!"
"It's what you get for being such a pathetic brother," Kikuya glared at Eiji, happy that her spell worked rather well.
"I get you your own personal chef for a year and this is how you repay me?!"
"Of course," Kikuya shot her little brother a demonic smirk before easing into her seat. It was such a nice gift, along with her father's gift of a personal house keeper and a massive box of traditional, homemade Japanese deserts. Yum yum! She couldn't wait to try them.
"Eiji, be nice to your older sister. It is her night to shine," Subaru glared at the boy, who immediately scoffed and slumped into his seat.
"Like she needs more attention?"
Kikuya just ignored her brother for the time being and looked across the lounge, wondering where Whisper had ran off to. For all she knew the infamous designer got caught up chatting it up with some potential models and bragging to other designers. She was, after all, the only one in the room who could claim she had supermodel Akuno Kikuya up her sleeve to show off her new line of work. No one else had that ace in their hand, and Kikuya was happy to be rather exclusive for the time being. Meant more and more people would come begging at her door.
