Not Supposed to Talk to Strangers...
Who: Ava and Kristen
When: Dusk (but definitely before dark)
Where: The playground
To say that Kristen hadn't been a happy camper when Missy had picked her up was an understatement. She hadn't even spoken to her sister during dinner until, finally, she gave in when ice cream was offered as an incentive. Kristen'd never been very good at the silent treatment anyhow and it wasn't like her day had been bad, just not what she'd wanted. But when she spilled it and was told that they'd just have to go to the playground until dark, well, Kristen had become ecstatic and been bubbling over ever since.
Now that she was actually there, Kristen left her sister laying out on the grass with her hat over her eyes to go and do some of her exercises. The monkey bars were amazingly good for flips and she loved using the seesaw for balance. Even if she did fall off once or twice before she got into the groove of it. The little blonde was giggling to herself, arms outstretched to either side as she managed to balance the seesaw perfectly from the middle, half-tempted to call out for her sister to look and see what she was doing. But no, if Missy was relaxing she wasn't going to ruin that. Instead, Kristen jumped off the seesaw and returned to the monkey bars. Luckily there were hardly any other kids there this late at night so she didn't have to worry about anyone waiting for a turn.
It wasn't as good as art, but it was still fun to tug herself up on top of the bars, legs swinging as she glanced around, eyes settling at last. She was waiting for something, a small flash having told her to. What was she waiting for? Kristen wasn't completely sure, but she knew there was something interesting coming. Missy wouldn't like it, she'll be so mad. She knew that as surely as she knew that what, no, whoever it was would be coming from that direction.
