Match made in hell?
Who-Sammy and Lex
Where Another bar( big surprise!)
When:just passed midnight
Rating: TBA

Sammy licked her lips contentedly as she walked into the bar, completely sated from earlier kill. She Had spent the better portion of the evening hunting, and now she just wanted to have a few drinks and relax. She had only been in town for two days, but already it felt familiar. There was plenty of sport for her craving, and there was enough bars for her to go around undetected. She enjoyed the amount of supernaturals this town had to offer, it made her feel better. to know that she was among people of her own status and caliber.

She slid into a booth in a corner, forsaking her usual perch at the bar for something a little more subtle. Since she wouldn't be hunting, she wanted to try and keep as low of a profile as possible. she was in no mood to be hit on by drunken men. She flagged down a waitress and ordered six shots of Rum and two of tequila. She wanted to drink enough to keep her euphoria, but not enough to get drunk.( though it would take a lot more than 8 shots to do that for her). She also didn't want to have to constantly keep flagging the waitress down to get another drink, ordering them in bulk worked well for her.

There were seldom nights that went by where Lex actually wished he was human, and they usually involved wanting to consume alcohol of some sort. During his living days, he would spend hours upon hours at the local pub just drinking himself into oblivion, though sadly he couldn't do that anymore. They only thing that was on the man's diet was blood, blood, and... ooo, more blood! Which wasn't entirely bad, but he did miss the burning sensation of hard liquor on and off. But there was something he could do to obtain that high again, and that was drink the blood of a clueless drunkard.

With that stowed in mind, Lex headed to some random bar in the area. Nothing special, at least not to him. It seemed to be filled with nothing but men who were trying to drink away their day or corner some poor girl into a night with them. Well, he didn't blame them for hitting on some girl. Besides, what the hell else were they going to do? Women were definitely in mind for the vampire, but for completely different reasons - he refused to drink from a man, thus leaving him with one option. And he didn't mind at all.

Especially when he walked by a waitress who was carrying... holy shit, how many drinks was that? Whatever, it was a lot and they were all going to one gorgeous woman sitting by herself in a booth. Apparently fate was favoring Lex this time around. He smirked to himself and slowly approached the lady, leaning against the booth while perking up a brow. "Going to drink that all by yourself, love? Isn't that a bit too much for a woman of your stature?"

Sammy looked at the man and smirked. 'Here we go again' she thought to herself. Another man who thought she couldn't hold her liqueur. She appraised him for a minute, looking him up and down, and finally deciding that she would be civil to him and not shoo him away. She chuckled huskily before leaning over to him.

"Darling this isn't nearly enough for a woman of my stature. I can hold my liqueur quite well." she said, and to accent her point, she downed the two shots of tequila back to back. She set the glasses down on the table and continued her statement. "I just hate waiting for someone to serve me, so I figured I should order my drinks in bulk." she said shrugging her shoulders. It took a second for her to realize that the motion had lowered the v in her dress to dangerous levels, and she decided it would be worse for her to fix it then to let it be.

She bit her lip a moment, wondering what the best next move would be. If she should casually dismiss him or invite him to stay. She finally decided on the latter and gestured to the empty seat across from her. " If you like, I seem to have an open seat. At least it would keep that guy fro staring at me any longer; I swear his eyes are about to fall out on the floor." she said with a chuckle. She was still buzzing from her latest kill, so she was in a very good mood.

Even if she had said no, Lex had every intention to make himself welcomed to some extent in the booth. Slipping down into the seat, he moved in closer to the enticing woman, shooting his blue eyes over his shoulder to look for said guy fro. Wow, he wasn't a hard one to miss either. Lex shot him a bit of a death stare before looking back to the woman. She was quite the eye-catching package, so he couldn't entirely blame the man for gawking at her, Hell, Lex was finding his stare to wander away from her face on and off.

Though it was a shame that such a captivating form had to be so freaking uptight and full of herself. "Well, aren't you the confident type." Sadly, very sadly for him. What the hell was with this town and the women? They were bloody gorgeous, but all of them acted like they owned the world. Dear god, it just never ended. Then again, it only fueled Lex even more to try and strike one down to her proper place. That he had no qualms with. "You must be quite the lush if-" His eyes flickered over to the shot glasses, quickly adding them up. "-eight shots isn't nearly enough for you." Hmmm, maybe he could buy her more and see how many it really took to get her drunk.

Sammy didn't fail to notice the way he scooted closer to her, but she chose not to acknowledge it either. It was a usual thing, and it wasn't bothering her too badly. However, at his comment about her being a lush Sammy fought the urge to tell him to fuck off. She had after all ordered 8 shots at once and told him that they were just the start. She shook her head gently and said. "Not a lush, Just had years of practice. And as for my confidence, well that is yet to be determined." she said dismissively. Confidence had never been one thing she had worried about, but confidence that it was her attracting men and not her pedigree was another matter entirely.

She leaned in just a touch and extended her palm out to him, deeming him worthy enough to know her name, plus she was nothing if not polite. "My name is Sammy. It's a pleasure to meet you." She drawled with a small smile. She wondered if he would reciprocate, he seemed like the high and mighty type. If he didn't it was no skin off her nose, but she was curious to see his next move.

Not a lush, just years of... what? Did she really say that? That was like saying Lex wasn't an assassin, but had years of practice shoving pointy objects into living people. The whole dying thing? Pfff, hell if he knew, just sort of happened. Right.... He raised a brow after she made that comment, pretty sure she liked her liquor and didn't have the balls to say it. Well, of course she didn't - she was a woman.

As for the hand being offered to him, Lex shot his eyes down to it and then back up to her. The look on his face was rather apathetic, like he didn't care to shake hands with her, but after a moment he actually placed his gloved hand into hers and shook it firmly. "Name's Lex. Should definitely be a pleasure." He was hoped the fact his gloves were fingerless wasn't that much of a factor, for now his exposed, cold skin was brushing against Sammy's. She could live with a brief chill, though it was nice to feel the warmth of her flesh, even for a fleeting moment. The sensation was enough to bring Lex's mind back to the concept of looking for a drunk body to feed off of. Oh yes, this was going to be an interesting night.

"So what's the occasion?" Lex questioned, motioning to the shot glasses with his chin. "Bad day or celebrating?" Or maybe she was a lush just needing a fix. He preferred that option, but he felt like humoring himself for the time being. Sammy was doing a good job at that so far.

Sammy's smile tightened a bit. Just as she suspected, Lex was a bit full of himself. Men, you think after killing enough of them they would respect you but Noooooo. Its all sneers and leering looks. Well Sammy wasn't going to take that lying down. She noticed the way his skin felt chilled against hers, but she hoped this would work anyway.

With a small but genuine smile she said "celebrating actually. I just finished moving into my apartment. The movers just finished unpacking the last box into the penthouse." she said with a satisfied smile. In salute she took a sip of her shot, taking her pace down a notch. She started hum, absentmindedly running her finger around the edge of her glass. She figured she could start with a low dose of her song and see where that got her. She was curious to see if It affected the vampire at all.

Saying Lex was full of himself was putting it lightly. The vampire had a chip off his shoulder that was bigger than the world and thought nothing was above him. The guy probably had more complexes going on than Freud knew what to do with.

"New to the area?" Well, at least it wasn't a bad day. He hated a woman bitching about her meaningless life. "Well isn't that just-" Wait, why was she singing? Did he looked like he needed to be serenaded by this bullshit? Sitting there with a peculiar face, he wait for a minute and realized she was still going. He was caught up in too much of a 'what the fuck?' state to even register she was a siren... not yet anyways.

"...the bloody hell are you doing?" Who knew, maybe she had some random disease that made her break out into song.... like Tourettes... except... yeah.

Sammy nodded at his question. And was slyly watching him from the corner of her eye. She smirked a little when he stopped mid sentence, that was usually a sign that it had some affect. But when it was followed by a 'what the bloody hell' statement. she frowned. So a low dose wasn't going to work. Damn. Maybe she could try a higher dose later. for now she would have to cover up her tracks a bit.

She feigned snapping out of it to look at Lex with a look just short of deer in the headlights. "I'm so sorry, I just can't help myself. It's almost like Tourettes for me. It's a compulsion. I can control it now.,but it caught me off guard. It's a very long and very boring story. One I'm sure you probably don't want to here. But enough about me, how long have you been in the city." she asked flashing her best curious look. What she was really looking for were the after affects of her song. The urge to touch her, the urge to do stuff for her, to harm any other male within close range. She took a quick glance around their booth and noticed that thankfully, humans were out of ear range.

Oh shit, there was Tourettes like that? Hell if Lex knew, science wasn't entirely his forte, but whatever. He gave Sammy and odd look while she talked, the very idea of her going into a long story giving him a slight headache. Spending the night with a lovely lady ramble on and on and on about pointless shit he did not - or ever would - give a crap about was not how he wanted to be spending his evening. Or any evening. Ever. Thus explained why he perked up when she scrapped that idea and put the focus onto him.

"A bit over a week or so. Haven't really been keeping tracking. Business calls for me being here, so whatever works, I suppose." How was he suppose to turn down a politician like Bram Moriarty with an offer like that? Of course he was going out to some god forsaken town for that kind of money. "Not really enjoying the town that much. More of a city man, if I do say so myself, though I must say-" He leaned in a bit, reaching out to lightly skim his fingers across her arm, his blue eyes trailing leisurely down her body. She didn't need to be a siren to elicit a reaction like that from Lex - was bound to happen eventually. "-company is quite lovely."

Sammy smiled a bit at his reaction. This was a man who knew how to play the game. It was fun, she wasn't often on equal ground with men, and this one almost came close enough in her book. She chuckled huskily in response to his blatant advance. Not quite sure if it was her or the spell, and not quite caring if it was either. It had been a long time since she had talked to a man she wasn't going to kill, and since she had come to this city she had found a few that had made her pause.

She returned the gesture carefully, making sure he knew that this wasn't the blatant come on of a drunk woman, but an actual conscious decision. It was the first time she had actually and truly looked at lex. As far as looks went he was pretty decent, very easy on the eyes. Her eyes made their way back to his and she stopped, puzzled. There was something in their blue depths that she understood. Maybe it was hunger, aggressiveness. But whatever it was it intrigued her. she leaned forward, baring a decent amount of cleavage as she did so.

"I have to say that your company has lightened the night a bit." she said throwing a compliment to him, and smiling a bit. It was true that the night would have been quite boring had the vampire not shown up. "I would watch how you spend your time though." she said a little coyly. "All work and no play, and all that jazz." she finished smirking and taking a small sip of her drink.

The small compliment was definitely appreciated, as any form of flattery in the vampire's ears boosted his ego tremendously. It was bad enough that he thought highly of himself, so anyone who dared to stroke that enormous ego of his only made his confidence grow more, even if all he was doing was lightening the night 'a bit.' Was better than nothing, right?

"Trust me, I'm not on the clock tonight by any means. Tonight is simply for my own amusement, though work can be quite pleasurable." Kidnapping women and slaughtering targets for money? How could that not be fun? Lex enjoyed his line of work immensely and that wasn't going to change anytime soon either. "And how about yourself, Sammy? Are you all play and no work? Or perhaps somewhere in between?" From the amount she was drinking, Lex was going to go with the first option, but poking around to see what the woman did was quite innocent on his part. For all he knew her idea of work could also have mixed in with play, which would only intrigue Lex more.

"Something in between. Why do something you hate for a living? I prefer to mix business with pleasure." She said with a small smile. She did usually enjoy what she did, deciding early on in her life that she wasn't going to be a masochist and be miserable while she killed. she enjoyed it. More than she should.

"I have to say I am curious, What is it that you do?" she asked eyebrow slightly raised. If Sammy actually had a weakness curiosity was a big one. She was intrigued by Lex, as well as the inhabitants of this town. Any information about him would help solve the puzzle.

What did he do? Now that was something Lex didn't go throwing around like a deck of playing cards. People typically didn't take something like, 'By the way, I'm an assassin' lightly by any means. Usually was a massive red flag to stay the hell away, maybe even call authority figures while they were at it. Though thankfully Lex had a back up plan whenever someone had to ask the elusive question.

"Personal security for a politician's daughters." Personal bitch was more like it, especially with his tasks as of lately. Though as long as he was being paid top dollar, Lex would continue to bend backwards for Domina. If she wanted blood, she got blood. If she wanted an enemy bound and gag in her office so she could torture them, he would merely ask if they were to be bound in chains, rope, or leather. He was an efficient bastard and he was going to stay that way. "Obviously they don't need security at the moment, hence why I'm here, but it pays the bills, so whatever works." Paid more than he was used to, that was for sure, and would probably pay for a few more rounds for Sammy if she was up for that later into the night... morning... whatever the hell time it was.

Sammy nodded a little surprised at what he did. Not that she expected him to have a nine to five or anything, but he seemed a little darker than that. "Personal security? Yikes, I would get pissed if I had to work for a bunch of bitchy girls." Sammy said wrinkling her nose a bit. She didn't mean that in an offensive way at all, and somehow she knew he wouldn't take it that way, probably because his ego was already through the roof.

Sammy was actually glad she worked for herself, going to work every day, having to suck it up and smile for a bunch of pompous assholes was not her idea of a good way to spend her life. She really had gotten lucky that she lived in California for a while, really giving a definition to the word succubus. She had started out with 4 husbands? maybe? But regardless, she had enough money to last her for the next 50 years, if not more.

Lex couldn't help but let out a thoroughly amused laugh at Sammy's words. A bunch of bitchy girls, wow, that fit them to a tee. He actually had to cover his mouth while he laugh to conceal his fangs that were probably showing from said laughter, and once it died down, he merely shook his head and chuckled. "Trust me, I do get pissed quite often, but the money is enough to shut me up." That much money should have been enough to make anyone shut up. Lex could live in the lap of luxury if he wanted to, but decided to spend it on upgrading his array of weapons and hunter gear. Well, it was luxury to some extent, just not what most people expected.

"Happy to spend my night not babysitting them and get to grace you with my appearance." He tilted his head while smirking a bit. Sammy seemed like quite the feisty spitfire, but not that high up on the bitch-o-meter. Not yet, anyways. That was always subject to change, but either way Lex was going to make it known that he was the one on top of the game.

Sammy bit back the Cheshire Cat grin that threatened to appear when she saw that she made the vampire laugh. It was funny and hard not to join in, but she refrained and listened to what Lex had to say. She couldn't help but laugh though, when he told her that the money was good enough to shut him up. st from the small conversation she had had with Lex, and the way he carried himself, she doubted that money would actually shut him up. She chuckled lightly and shook her head a little. She flagged the waitress that was walking past the table and gave her two of the remaining drinks, telling her to give them to some drunk who looked like they wanted another drink. Sammy was content to stick with the two she had at the moment, and probably wouldn't touch the others.

Sammy was a little surprised at Lex's brazenly egotistical comment, but she didn't show it. She did chuckle a bit, this time with a bitter edge. So he was going to try and mark his dominance, well she could play this game to. "Well, I suppose your company is preferable to some of the drunken men in this bar, though if you were a second later that guy over there might have beat you to it." she said pointing at the man who was staring at her before but was now studiously ignoring her.= whenever Lex spoke too loudly or laughed. "Either way it wouldn't have mattered much to me." she bluffed nonchalantly. sipping a bit of her drink. And it was true, if she had accepted the other mans advances, she would have just killed him and called it a night.

"That guy?" Lex blinked and turned his gaze to catch the eyes of the one man they were discussing before. "Afro guy? Seriously?" Shaking his head, Lex tsked loudly while scooting in closer to Sammy, being bold enough to stretch his arm out to rest loosely on her opposite shoulder. "That guy is probably too drunk to tell the different between a man or a woman at this point, which in that case, you probably look like the finest catch here, regardless if the prospective is drunken or not." He wasn't trying to flatter the woman too much, but he'd be lying if he said she wasn't beautiful. If anything, Lex was happy to have reached her first.

"So do the plan to drink until you close the place or do you have plans for night, Sammy?" In Lex's mind, his plans involved luring her out and finally sinking his fangs into the delicate skin of hers, then drinking for her intoxicated blood to receive the same tipsy sensation anyone would receive after having several shots. It had been far too long since he experienced that and Lex was starting to grow anxious with each passing second.

Sammy shrugged her head as if lex's assumption didn't phase her, but she was a little flattered by his words. It wasn't often that she was complimented by someone who was impervious to her song or drunk. She didn't mind his arm around her shoulder, it could be worse.

"I never planned to drink until they shut down, I ordered my shots all at once so I wouldn't have to wait for a server. I don't really have any plans at all." she said honestly, but his curiosity made her suspicious. His cockiness had dropped to about a 5 and he was being really nice to her.

"Not to ruin the mood darlin but just when were you going to try and lure me out of here suck my blood." she asked huskily, figuring she might as well let him know, so he could drop whatever facade he was going to use to get her out of the bar. If he was still game, fine with her, but if trickery was part of the hunt for him then she was out

So she was an impatient woman. Well, weren't they all these days? Sometimes Lex regretted his new immortal life strictly due to the change in women over the years. What the hell ever happened to the obedient, quiet, polite girls who knew their place in the world, which was the household? The only upside was that it was far easier for Lex to meet up with someone like Sammy.

Not to mention women these days were quite to the point, which she demonstrated with her last comment. If that didn't shock the hell out of Lex... well, it did now. Part of Lex was disappointed, for he always preferred to chase down his prey like a wild animal and take much pride in the kill, so to speak. Not that he intended to kill her, but it was always an option if the meal was too feisty and fought back more than needed. But at the same time, she didn't seem scared or fazed. She sounded more willing than anything, though it wouldn't have been the first time Lex read a woman wrong.

"Sounds like you're offering yourself, love. If that's the case, I'm waiting for you to take another shot or two before luring you out." He smirked at the lovely woman, flashing a bit of his fangs to her in the process. Well, if she figured it out, then no point in hiding it.

Sammy grinned widely, seeing she had caught the vampire off guard, and for some odd reason he still didn't understand what she was, which in her mind was quite cute.Hell he probably thought she was some odd drunk just looking for a thrill. Not that what he thought mattered too much. and she couldn't help the shiver that ran down her spine when he flashed his fangs. It wasn't fear, or anticipation, but an odd mixture of both. Sammy was not afraid of pain, she embraced it. Like that song said, she'd rather feel pain than nothing at all.

When he mentioned her offering her self Sammy tilted her head for a moment and contemplated the offer. Was she actually offering her self? She didn't really know. It didn't seem like that fair of a trade, but then again... She chuckled a little evilly, snatched a shot off of a passing waiter's tray. and leaned back into the booth again. she turned to Lex with a small smile playing on her lips.

"I'll show you mine if you show me yours darlin." she said, a little of the New Orleans drawl she had picked up a few years ago seeping into her speech. Let him think of that how he will. Maybe he would get the hint, maybe her would take it a whole different way, either would prove to be interesting. She motioned to the bartender for another round while she waited for a reply.

Actually, Lex wasn't how exactly to take a comment like that. Being a one track minded guy, his mind went straight to the gutter at first, but after he pulled himself out and thought it over again, he couldn't help but wonder if Sammy was suggesting she was more than she appeared to be. Not to mention that look in her eyes and the way she spoke made it sound like she wasn't some innocent girl. Well, he figured out that much with how much she was willing to drink, but now Sammy had Lex thinking - what was she?

"Careful what you ask for, love, might get us thrown out of the bar. Perhaps that bartender should hurry up on the drinks-" Lex turned his head to look around while waiting for her shots to return to her, then looked back to Sammy. "-and then we can skip this joint so we can show each other whatever the hell we want." Now that he was looking her over some more, it became evident to Lex that having a midnight snack wasn't the only thing on his mind. Would be such a waste to drink from a beautiful woman like Eva and then just walk away. Surely she wouldn't mind some spontaneous fun for the hell of it. Lex never minded, anyways.

Sammy smile as she saw the different thoughts play across Lex's face, amused by him trying to figure out what she had said. She figured that being a guy, his mind would ha gone straight to the gutter, which was fine with her. she had pegged him for a one night stand kind of a guy long ago, and it didn't bother her at all. Sammy liked to keep it short and simple, if emotions ever got involved, you got hurt.

"It wouldn't be the first time I have gotten kicked out of a bar, and it definitely wouldn't be the last. but I see your point, I can down a es shots and then we can get the hell out of here." Her whole mind in the gutter theory was confirmed when he looked at her like a cat would look at a mouse. she casually returned the favor, thinking one night with Lex was sure to be fun, at the very least

"Really know? Seems like we both live dangerously then." While Lex typically couldn't stand some woman thinking she was as bad ass as he was, at least it meant she wouldn't break upon a single touch. Still, Lex was determined to have her crumble one way or another, whether it was through a painful bite or pinning her up against the wall to show her what he had pulled up his sleeves... or else where. Now where the hell was the server to pump some more liquor into this lady so they could get the hell out?

In the meantime, Lex made himself more comfortable next to Sammy, slinking in closer to her, if it was even possible. His fingers trailed over the exposed skin on her arm while his eyes kept wandering away from her eyes to across her seductive form. In the back of his mind he wondered if she was something beyond human. She definitely made it sound like it. If she were a vampire or were, he would have smelled it on her by then, but she wasn't, thus he could only find out through a taste of her blood. Hopefully she wasn't some powerful psychic who could give him the worst head trip in the world. Bleh, he hated that kind of blood.
