Isn't This a Pleasant Evening
Who: Charlene, Nixie & Wynne
When: 10:00 p.m.ish
Where: The river, right by where Charlene and Nixie live
Charlene may not have been able to whistle as she neared the river, shoes in hand since the moment she left the road behind for the springy grass, but she was humming a tune in her head that she had heard during her time among the humans. It had been an absolutely delightful day; right up to the point where her skin had begun to itch while a dull ache started in her head. After taking a look at the watch she had brought with her, the mermaid had realized the reason why. She had been out of the water for more than twelve hours and - though she knew she could stay out for longer if she wanted - Charlene had decided it was past time she went home to find out just how irritated her sister was going to be.
After she shed her clothes at the abandoned shed hidden in a copse of trees, Charlene dove right into the water, not even taking time to see if a fish or something was in the way. She did not like feeling itchy or headache-y and water was the only - oh my GOD! Some part of her mind remarked idly on the fact that she had never used that phrase before meeting Roxy while the rest was busy having a fit over the fact that she had come full into contact with something not too far under the surface. Flailing, her claws digging into the nearest solid thing she could find, Charlene started shouting. Whatever it was, it was large and she did not quite have the presence of mind after her day to look before she screamed. Better safe than sorry.
