Lemme have some of that pic-a-nic basket.
Who: Sonny and Ella.
Where: Bargain Books/Park.
When: 2 PMish.
Considering it was only two in the afternoon, the fact that Sonny was off surprised even him. Usually at this point in the day he would be exhausted, ready to curl up on his couch for a midday nap before meeting up with family or friends, but Fi was off with some fellow he wasn't sure he approved of and Alex was off visiting their parents, and with his bandmates off in their respective hometowns for a summer break, he was actually alone. Under said circumstances, one would make the assumption that going home and crashing on his couch or bed would be ideal, but there was an unforseen promise he'd set for himself for this day, determined to catch up with one of his closest friends.
With that said, he'd spent a little extra time in the kitchen at the diner and whipped up a few sandwiches, grabbed some cole slaw and pickles and a surprise dessert for his well... a chuckle left him, his furry friend. Ella had been a surprising friend, really, considering they'd met in the bookstore and made a fast friendship. They had a companionship that always made him happy to be her friend, and on a whim, he decided to snag her after work and take her on a picnic. Sure, cheesy, but it's Sonny let's be honest here.
After a few heckles from some of the guys that worked in the kitchen, he swung the basket over his arm and began his journey to Bargain Books having borrowed Alex's car for the day. Of course not the wisest of decisions, but considering Alex preferred taking a train to their parents' house, Sonny enjoyed the freedom of blasting his music in the small car, and the easier routes and means of getting to people. Swinging down roads with ease (and in a way that would probably make his brother scream with fear for his baby car), Sonny arrived nearly on time for the end of Ella's shift, shifting into park swiftly. Sidling out of the car and standing, leaning against the small two door beat-up machine that passed as a vehicle, Sonny waited for Ella to come out for her surprise.
