Brogan would do absolutely everything he could to help out Ross. He would go above and beyond what his job required, which was probably more than what others in his profession would do. Some people could have a job like this put in their forty hours and walk away, Brogan simply could not.
He noted in his notebook that Ross definitely used humor as a deflective method and then looked back at Ross. "Being new is hard." Brogan commented. It probably wasn't the best method, to cope that was. Moving away from everyone he knew. "But staying here isn't in your long term plans, at least for right now, right?"
When Ross commented that he had met a few people while working at the university he smiled slightly. It was nearly impossible not to have people talk to you there, which was probably amplified by the luster of him being a guest lecturer. "A key part of your treatment," he hated using that word treatment but it fit for the time being, "is going to be making sure you keep contact with others. Real contact. Not just cracking jokes." Which he figured that Ross was extraordinarily good at.
