Adelle was putting the finishing touches on her clothing and getting the contents of her handbag together in anticipation of Luke's arrival. Keys, pepper spray, a compact, wallet, and lip gloss went into the Coach bag, and she put it over her shoulder. She turned off all the lights, made sure the DVR was set to record her shows, and almost jumped when the knock came.
She opened the door, and standing there in a dark blue shirt and dark pants was Luke, looking some kind of handsome that she'd never really experienced before. She tried to hide a smile, but it broke through anyway. A bright, beaming smile. For all the hell she'd given herself for agreeing to the date and the possibility of trying snake, she was glad that they were going through with it.
"Hey. I can't say you clean up well because I haven't seen you dirty, but... you clean up well." She almost closed the door behind her as she stepped out but she'd forgotten one thing. Turning around, she reached out for the dining room table to grab her phone. Adelle couldn't say she hoped he didn't take a look at her legs as she stretched for the item, but hey, she was hoping that he'd look. She didn't have a body like her mother or Miranda, but she deserved attention all the same, no?
