Usually, snakes eat birds. Tonight? Adelle was consuming the snake.
Who: Adelle and Luke
Where: Outside of the condos at Cherryblossom Place/Somewhere for snake
When: 5PM
Adelle had finally finished cleaning up her condo, getting everything in order, making sure everything was spotless before she decided it was a decent time to get ready for her date. She showered and did her makeup, making sure she didn't apply too much. Since the sun was still out, she figured she wouldn't attempt to go out in something too revealing so that they could be comfortable wandering around.
She had to admit, she was a little anxious after her lunch with Graham the other day and she didn't want to mess things up by assuming she'd been talking to Luke. Luke was a different individual, and she needed to take a moment to make sure that she was listening to him and not just making hasty chit-chat. Also, she needed to not kill him. That was always a plus.
When she looked at the clock on the nightstand and noticed the red numbers starkly presenting 4:45PM back at her, she realized that she was had been standing in front of the closet staring into it for half an hour. All she had to show for it? The pair of open-toed green stilettos she was standing in. It had taken her half an hour to pick shoes, and the rest of her body was still covered in a towel.
She quickly picked a black top with an empire waist that hung below her hip and concealed the buttons and pockets of the dark blue denim shorts. Adelle adorned her neck with a simple platinum necklace that hung a bit lower than the collarbone. She made sure her modest chest kept attention with a push-up, and even applied makeup to give it a bigger look. Her left wrist was covered with a rather expensive diamond tennis bracelet, four rows of gems encased in platinum.
Yeah, her father liked being rather extravagant with gifts and she wanted to show that she knew how to dress, how to exude style and class. A rather extravagant bit of it, but she felt that Luke would understand. They were both living in Cherryblossom Place, there was a level of money the other expected.
Glancing at the clock, she read 4:55PM. He was due any minute now, and she strolled toward the living room, making sure everything was perfect. She prayed that snake tasted better than it sounded.
