Miranda looked down and smoothed it again. "Thank you, Amelia. I've had it a while. You look lovely." It was something she'd had since the sixties. But she wasn't about to say that. She stepped inside and presented the box she brought with her. "I baked some brownies for everyone. I hope that's alright." She offered her a hug.
They made their way to the kitchen and she said hello to everyone as she entered, smiling. "Suppose everyone's heard the good news?" she said with a bright grin. It was good to know that the students were safe. Never in her years had she been witness to something as horrible as people kidnapping children.
