So lonely inside, so busy out there
Who: Tessa, Jackson, and Troy (NPC'd)
Where: Troy's apartment above the dojo
When: Afternoon
The fox was still hanging around. After the first night when he wouldn't leave, Tessa relented and let him sleep in the kitchen, more so because she couldn't stand the thought of the poor thing freezing to death outside on his own. She might not know why the fox was there, but she wasn't heartless, no matter what someone might say to her. Then, the more she looked around her apartment, the more she realized that there were a few things out of place. There was what looked like a doggy bed in one corner of the living room, and Tessa was certain she'd never had a dog before. Maybe the fox was hers after all. But since when did she turn into Snow White and start rescuing woodland creatures?
The more she thought about it, the more her head started to hurt. So Tessa did the only thing she could think of, and that was to drive over to Troy's and see what he could make of this mess. The fox didn't even need any prodding to get in the car, jumping right into the passenger seat. "You're weird for a fox," she told him, again, as she started up the car. What Troy could do about the situation, she had no idea, but her brother had to know something. Anything. Even if it was just to smile and nod and let her rant for a while.
Pulling up to the dojo, she held the door open for the fox to follow her, taking the stairs up to Troy's apartment two by two. She hadn't called to say she was coming, but then again, Tessa didn't think she necessarily needed to, either. She had a key, but the door was unlocked, so she let herself in. "TROY!" she shouted. "Where are you?"
"Kitchen!" In comparison, Troy's voice was much quieter, calmer than his sister's. She bounced on in to find Troy making himself a cup of tea, pouring hot water into a mug. "I didn't expect you, Tess. Everything all right?"
"Ehhhhhh. It's okay." She was about to tell him all about the fox tagging along with her, to warn him or whatever, but she was immediately distracted by the fact that Troy was not alone. His name clicked in the back of her mind - Jackson - and he was a friend. No, closer than a friend. Like another brother. Any bad thoughts she might have had went right out the window, and she bounced over to the man - to the werewolf, she remembered - and pounced him, little arms wrapping around his waist. "Jackson! Where have you been? I missed you!"
Troy laughed. "Come on, you'd think you haven't seen him in forever, reacting like that."
