Despite the chill in the air Jo felt a little warmer inside than she would have otherwise, and it was the kind of warmth that also forced her lips into a wide smile, and also the kind of warmth she found herself feeling in Sam's presence. She liked how there was no pretense between them, both standing there in their pyjamas with bed hair and sleepy eyes, one about as hungry as the other. It was easy, and it was nice. And Jo would be lying to herself if she said she didn't want it all the time.
"All right, you do the eggs, I'll work on the bacon. Promise not to eat all of it as I cook, too." She replied as she approached him and the stove, one hand going up to get some frying pans. However, her hand hovered in mid-air as he ruffled her hair and her face scrunched up. Jo made a half-assed protesting sound as she poked him softly in the ribs with her free hand, but she was chuckling all the while. "You look like you got your beauty sleep yourself! Scoot." She ordered, a playful smile on her face as she nudged his hip with hers.
