Blake's eyes went wide at his brother's words. Well there was a sign that he was an ultimate failure. But then he elaborated. And Blake found himself laughing. He didn't mean it like that but he had sort of set up a trap for his brother hadn't he? It probably wasn't the best idea to ask his brother in any situation if he would date him. "It's a fate I suppose we're both doomed to share, but in an un-Cletus and Brandine like way. There will be no inappropriate doings between the two of us. Just video games and the occasional sharing of pizza."
"And they were for the best intentions. And I did something right by making him go because he is now happily with Myra. And he hasn't been happy in years. That I know of anyway." He said with a shrug. They didn't even compare to that sort of a relationship. Psalm was like a brother to him because Myra was simply always meant for Psalm or at least that's what Blake would be telling himself to get to sleep at night years down the road when he would be faced with the news of them having a child or something equally as mind boggling as that. "Yeah as a friend." Blake added in a low tone. People liked people like him in theory, but did they want them in their lives? Only at a distance.
Blake might understand one day but at this point there was no reasoning to be done with him. It was doubtful that even their mother could make him feel better about this situation.
