Through the rain shower, T.J had spent the better part of his morning looking after the plants in the greenhouse and having a nice mental discussion with his familiar. Nana Mama sheltered herself from the rain beneath the makeshift lean-to that T.J constructed from a couple of sheets of plywood and a piece of old tin that he'd found somewhere or another. The sound of the rain bouncing off of the tin was soothing as he worked with his hands caked in soil. The house was empty when he ran inside through the rain. Toby and Emyli weren't home, though he wasn't sure that they were together either. Thinking about his friend and the blonde he was so attached to made the earth elemental want nothing more than to push them so that they could see there was something more than just a physical attraction there. He knew Toby had certain issues with deeper attachments, but there was definitely something there. T.J could just tell and he knew that if he could just make the two understand, that they'd both be happier for it. Of course, he often felt that love was the greatest gift life had to offer; even if that love jumped up and left for months at a time without a word goodbye.
As with several of his previous girlfriends, T.J believed Belinda was his soul mate. He swore it felt different with her because they shared a connection through Earth and that was just something so deep and personal that he couldn't describe. They were perfect for each other and he was sure they'd been cut from the same cloth. Until she left, that is. Not a day went by when she wasn't in his thoughts. He always wondered what she was doing, if she was safe, if she had met someone else. It wasn't until he approached her family that he found out that she had not only skipped town but she'd skipped the country altogether. He gathered that her motivations were to help others and their element, but that didn't dull the edge of heartache that plagued him.
So when he heard the melodic rap at the door, he was not expecting the soaking wet, beautiful brunette on the other side. It took less than a second for him to recognize her, especially with the way that she squealed his name. His jaw nearly hit the floor, but his eyes were shining with joy. For some inexplicable reason, any anger or bitterness that might have cropped up over the last few months disappeared with the arrival of his girlfriend. "Bellsprout?" His voice jumped an octave as the endearment dropped from his lips. He didn't hesitate to throw his arms around her, wrapping her in a warm embrace. "When did you get back? God, I've missed you so much!"
