Lark looked over to the brunette at the nearest gurney, and had to think a minute on her answer. Was she nervous? Yes, a little, but for reasons more complicated than were quick to find words for. "It's my second time," she said instead, realizing she had in no way answered the question. "I think I'm still feeling the whole thing out, I guess. It's kind of strange how normal this seems, actually." She squeezed her little stress ball and looked around the room. This room really could have been in a lab or a hospital or anywhere but at an honest-to-God vampire bar.
"Are you, uh... a regular?" Lark wasn't sure about the etiquette in this sort of scenario. She knew there were fangbangers out there, and she was pretty sure Desi was secretly one of them. But donating this way seemed to defeat the point. Unless they were just using this place to make connections. Which was what Desi had actually suggested. Make yourself known there, she'd said. Some vamp might get a taste for you and offer you a private session. Lark had made it perfectly clear that she was in no way willing to take on a 'private session' with any vampire.
