The scent not only did not have the decency to stay where it was like she thought it should do at the least, oh no, but it got closer. Alanna picked up her pace a bit, but not too much, because that might turn it into a chase and the last thing she needed to do was elevate her heart rate and get freaked out. He was not after her, he was just... a guy. Another were. A were-rodent like her. Maybe he just wanted to say hi? Alanna was a friendly girl in most circumstances, but the last were-rodent she had hung out with had been Aaron and that had been a lot of fun right up until he had decided that his religion was more important than her and that still stung. He smells like... is that weed? Seriously?! Right out in the park?! Alanna considered going ahead and remarking on that rather than anything else, but held her tongue instead. She was a step away from making the remark anyhow until he apparently decided to call it a beautiful day. Only it was far from that when one thought about what was happening at the school and then the fact that it was cool outside and... maybe he was too baked to think about any of that. Alanna had never smoked, but she had been around people who did and they always seemed to be a little different.
Oh god, it's a flirt. Alanna felt her cheeks turning a bright shade of red and she ducked her head down. She was never any sort of good at responding to someone flirting with her. Ever. She had not been good at it when it was Aaron or when it was someone trying to at school - though luckily she had usually been able to duck away from it pretty quick - and she still had no idea of how to handle it. "Uhhh... it's not the greatest day, I don't think." What? She was not going to lie about how she was seeing the day just because this guy thought it was awesome. She did finally turn her head to look at him and yeah, okay, the general appearance made her understand because he looked like someone who was going to be walking around smelling like marijuana. "Thanks... I think... ummm... squirrel?" Yeah, no, she had no idea of what else to say, but she would say something until she got to her car.
