It's a blacked out blur
Who: Elaine and Marius. Aaaaand Natalisa later on
Where: Anywhere But Here
When: Late Night
Warning: Violence and potential NSFW; possible triggers
The other night was still having lingering effects on Elaine. Or had those effects bled into what had happened the other morning and combined to make this huge mess of a thing that she just had no idea of how to deal with? That one, it was probably going to be that one and Elaine was going to go with it. Granted, Elaine was just going with a lot of things that jumped into her mind lately. Hence why she was here at this particular bar - not even her favorite one, her favorite one was down in Detroit and she had only been there three times - with her third drink in front of her. For the third night in a row, too. All that she had done for the past three days since that morning with Natalisa was go to work, come here, go home and sleep. Had she not been a were then she was pretty sure that by now she would have been running on fumes or operating with a massive hangover. Elaine had only had a hangover one time in her life, which she completely blamed on a mix of Tanner and Vicki, and she was not sure she ever wanted to repeat the experience. Except... as she finished her third drink and crooked her finger in the way that the guy behind the counter had learned meant 'give me another' she was seriously debating just drinking and drinking until all of the thoughts in her head blurred together so that she could not tell where one ended and the next started. Especially since so many of those damn thoughts had Natalisa in them.
"Done," she whispered to her drink as she stared at the amber colored liquid. Her nose wrinkled as the smell wafted up and her stomach denied any desire to have that drink in it, but Elaine ignored both of them as she lifted and swallowed. But she was, right? So done with letting feelings... wait, what had she been thinking? Her train of thought had been completely derailed when a swirl of cooler air from outside swept in and sent goosebumps racing along bare bits of skin. That was one of the reasons that she had decided to come to this bar instead of any of the others. It was the most hole-in-the-wall like and therefore it should have been the emptiest. It also had some of the less than savory clientele which meant Elaine had turned away several clumsy attempts at being hit on. It was the end of September and she was not on the market. At all. Except - nope, not on the market. She made a face at her drink. "How about something stronger this time? I am feeling nothing." Oh sure, there was that warm buzz but it was hardly worth noting. She was a were for god's sake.
