"You can have the interesting from now on if you really want it." Reggie was smiling, he hardly meant it. If something decided to happen again like it had the last time with his element then he definitely did not want Keelin to be on the receiving end. He wanted no one to be on that end, actually, but if it had to happen then it should be him since he had already gone through it. And no one else should have to go through it. Especially not Keelin or either or his girls or any of his friends... this would have been where Tiger told him that he was trying to take too much on his shoulders and he would have disagreed even though he really knew that his familiar was right.
At least Keelin seemed to be mostly okay. He thought? Reggie was actually not sure if she was okay or if she was just acting that way or if he had actually helped at all, but having her lean into him at least made him sure that he had made the right choice by coming over. "I'm glad I did too." Reggie was glad he got that out before Keelin kissed his jaw, because once she had done that it felt a little like the gears in his brain were grinding slowly to a halt. And yeah, there it was, they stopped turning entirely when she kissed him. "I'll take that too, I'm trying." Reggie realized he was grinning then, and had no way to make himself stop, so he did not even try. Instead he leaned back a little more against the couch. This was exactly what he had needed: to spend time with Keelin. Just with Keelin, too. Pugsley was great and of course he loved his girls, but sometimes it was better to be alone. Like when that time led to getting kissed. Reggie was really starting to like getting kissed by Keelin. "I haven't been a 'boyfriend' since I was in high school so it's good to know that I remember how it's done." His hand found Keelin's arm so that he could squeeze lightly. "Helping you feel better at all?"
