'REGGIE!' Pugsley nearly collided into Reggie's leg as he slid to a bouncing halt at the elemental's feet. The sight caused Keelin's smile to become a little bit more sincere. 'We missed you!' Because Pugsley was unashamed of anything, it seemed. Keelin didn't bother to amend his statement because it was true. She had missed seeing and talking to Reggie over the weekend; it was just a little hard to know how to balance everything and she had not been entirely sure that she wanted to expose Reggie to what was going on. Except now she knew that she had to. Who knew -- maybe Reggie would be able to help her handle the whole situation a little more smoothly than she had. She closed the door behind them, but stayed where she was and watched Reggie pet her familiar. The two of them were really too cute to exist in the same room, but there they were.
'Totally will. Like. Every day. They're not mad, are they? Keely needed me this weekend, so I couldn't just slip over. ' He had to say it like that, didn't he? It was true enough; Keelin had not wanted to be left alone with Kahlan at all. Pugsley was so good at breaking the awkward silences that she made sure to have him around her all weekend. Just because she couldn't handle the way that the silence that feel between her and Kahlan just clung to them like a wet rag. When Reggie turned to face her, though, she felt her eyebrows tug together. "Why?" Why would Reggie feel like his coming over would be unwelcome at all? Unless he thought that she had been avoiding him. "Oh, right. I'm sorry." The bridge of her nose scrunched up and she brought her hand to pinch the sides of it. She had so many thoughts to sort through.
"Make yourself comfortable," She gestured to the couch. "Would you like something to drink?" If it wasn't a school night, a glass of wine would certainly be on her menu. 'It's good you're here,' Pugsley said to Reggie, his tail wagging still. 'Keely... is being weird. I dunno how to describe it except that she cleaned so much that I can't even smell myself on my toys anymore.' Had his witch been able to hear his thoughts, she would have given him a stern look, but she didn't, so she was busy trying to think of a better way to apologize to Reggie.
