The previous day? The previous day... Cheyenne just could not find the words to describe the day. The morning had been alright and then steadily grew worse thanks to running into the biology teacher who likes to throw iron at people. And then the first part of the evening had been bizarre, what with Nikita's odd proposal, but the events that had transpired afterwards -- that was where she lost the ability to describe it. Nothing could have prepared her for what happened with Lee, or the unbridled emotions involved in the whole event. If that wasn't enough, waking up next to him certainly took the words out of her mouth. She couldn't help it; it was like the sun had been harnessed inside of her and she was radiating in warmth and glee. The waking up had been great... until she realized she was running late for work. She hurried to get ready despite her reluctance; she really didn't want to leave her sire's side, not yet at any rate. She nearly had to pry herself away from him so she could get to school.
Maybe it was because of Lee, or maybe it was because the rain had finally stopped and she could smell the sun behind the clouds, but whatever the reason behind it, Cheyenne was beaming from ear to ear. When she got to school, it was a little after ten and the waiting area outside of her office was empty. Thankfully she had not been needed right away. Considering this was her first time being late in a year, she didn't think she was going to be in any sort of trouble, but she still was going to make it a point to apologize to the principal. And considering the lack of students that morning, she was easily considering just walking to his office and apologizing right then and there. Only, she was a little caught up in the way she could balance her pencil cup on her forehead. Leaning her head on the back of her chair, she swiveled back and forth slightly, idly wondering what Lee was doing with his time. She didn't know how much time had passed with her daydreaming in her chair, but a knock suddenly pulled her out of her reverie, sending her pens and pencils all over the floor and the cup rolling under her desk. Hearing the name of Cole Landers, she jumped from her chair and hurriedly tried to gather the pens. When she couldn't quite find the cup that was holding them all, she put the pile on her desk and stepped over to the door, straightening her dress and jacket as she went. Poking her head through the door, she found the familiar shock of blue hair. "Cole, you can come on in." She smiled, her fangs glamoured away as they were every day that she worked. When she turned back into her office, she stooped down enough to try and find her pencil cup.
