let's just go walking in the rain
WHO | Cheyenne & Leland
WHERE | Scarlet Oak High --> Park!
WHEN | After work
Since the attack on the Preternaturals for Peace March, some students had been rather vocal about their fears and worries, which meant Cheyenne's office was usually pretty full for most of the day. However, today was different. Today, barely anyone had straggled into her office, whether of their own accord or by a teacher's insistence. It concerned her to have so few students come in, but she supposed that she should also be glad for it; if they weren't coming in, then that would mean they didn't need counseling, right? Well. Maybe it applied to some students. Really, the best part of the day had been receiving texts from Leland. Her sire just knew how to really cheer her up and get her thoughts out of Sadness Lane. He had even offered to take her to the park. With an umbrella! Which might not have been a truly spectacular feat in and of itself, but to Cheyenne, the effort he went through to make her smile was truly magnificent. With less students seeing her, that meant she could leave a little early today. She didn't like making a habit of leaving before the end of the day; she never knew when a student might come in after the last class of the day and needed her help. But she was also excited about getting to the park. Cell phone in hand, she dialed Lee's number without really looking at the numbers and put it against her ear. "Leaving now!" She chimed with a smile when he answered. The halls were empty seeing as students were still in their classrooms, so she was able to make it to the front doors without any snags or delays. The rain was falling steadily and she was intent on sitting under the cement shelter over the doors until Lee arrived, but then she saw him. Hanging up her phone and placing it in her bag, she beamed. Adjusting her blouse slightly, she nearly skipped out to where he was standing, complete with umbrella. "Fancy meeting you here." She giggled. |
