Nodding, Lux followed Simon to the office, admiring the figurines on his desk as she shrugged out of her coat. She hung it on the rack and took the t-shirt, wrapping it around her head immediately. "Yeah it'll do." She started soaking up the t-shirt in the excess water from her hair, though she had to stop and actually chuckle out loud when Simon mentioned her worrying about what her hair looked like. "Dude, I have scars on my face. My hair is so not on the radar anymore." Still, she supposed she might frighten the customers if she looked like a victim of electrical shock, so she tried to smooth it over.
Once she was done Lux just left the t-shirt wherever it wouldn't damage any papers. Simon had gone straight to the million dollar question, and Lux shoved her hands inside her pockets. "Well, uh..." And then, she was momentarily saved by the salamander! Grinning, Lux turned around to look at Simon's cute little familiar. "Sorry Charmander, you should have made your presence noticed before, I didn't see you! Hi!" She tried not to make fun of his name to his face, but it was still hilarious. It would probably never stop being hilarious.
After that little interruption, however, Lux was left with a curious Simon and a conversation that she'd been the one to ask for. She cleared her throat and sighed, thinking of the best way to give the news. Avoiding it seemed to be the best course of action. "Okay you're the most intelligent person I know. I'm going to state two facts, in sequence, and you're going to see why they're related and then you'll figure out what I need to tell you but am too chickenshit to actually, you know, say." She looked up at Simon. "Here goes: I was bitten by a cougar months ago. And... the full moon is in four days." There it was. She'd said it without really saying it, and now Lux was standing there expectantly.
