One day we'll get the best of them
Who: Reggie, Troy and the girls (NPCs)
Where: Camelot Place apartments
When: Evening
Reggie was pretty sure that one of the reasons his day had been so interesting was because it had started out in an unusual way. Just going into someone else's apartment to fix their TV because their dog familiar wanted to watch something, well, that was unusual enough. Topping it off with the woman who owned it not knowing he was there and emerging wrapped in a towel? And Keelin looked good that way, she really did. Something that Reggie was not sure he could ever say out loud and he was definitely not going to voice it to the company currently surrounding him. Sarah would find a way to make it a big thing and Bess would probably just giggle and glance away, then ask Sarah about it later. It was also none of their business and the last thing he wanted was for Sarah to get the idea in her head that she should try getting him and Keelin together more often. Keelin was nice, yes, and she was pretty and... why am I arguing with myself about this? I just need to finish making the popcorn and settle in. Tiger meowed his agreement from where he had stretched himself out on the floor in front of the coffee table, his head and tail practically matched with each end. He was seriously a huge cat and Reggie was amazed every time he saw him compared to another animal. Especially Pugsley.
Keelin's familiar. And now he was thinking about the blonde witch again. Great.
"Hey dad. Helloooooo, earth to dad, come in please!" Reggie shook his head and focused in on his daughter. Sarah had one hand on her hip and a displeased look on her face. "I've been trying to get an answer out of you for the past ten minutes. Yes or no?"
Reggie blinked. "What was the question?"
"I knew you weren't paying attention to me!" Oh god this was the last thing that he needed to deal with tonight; a moody teenager.
"Come on," Sarah, I had a long day and I was trying to figure out how much popcorn to make." Apparently three large bowls was going to have to do. He hoped that Troy would be able to polish one off. He knew that Sarah could when she got going so that left one for him and Bess to share. Yeah, that was right. "So what was the question?"
"Nevermind, I'll just make Bess pick the movie." And before Reggie could respond she had flounced off to their room, probably to do just that. He stared after her with an open mouth and just shook his head, glad that there was a knock at the door to keep him from wondering why she was so easy to upset today.
The earth elemental gave a relieved grin when he saw Troy on the other side, hand outstretched. "Good to see you Troy, come on in. I've already got the popcorn made and the girls will be out in a second. Maybe you can get Sarah to smile because god knows she hasn't been happy with me today. He paused. "Pretty sure that I didn't actually do anything to deserve the silent treatment this time.
