It was a great sense of relief that Caelia felt when she wrapped her arms around her younger sister. Aurora's alright, she thought to herself. That relief became bittersweet when she spotted Chelia over Aurora's shoulder. Chelia was alright as well, but that realization also came with the reminder of tensions that were between them. Technically, it was tensions with the whole household, at least on Caelia's part. She loved her family and she knew they wanted her to come back home, but how could she? Offering a smile that was also a bit of an olive branch, she nodded to Chelia. "A glass of water?" She didn't realize how much the trip over had taken out of her.
Her eyes falling onto Aetheria, she could see the troubled expression. That was when Kiana spoke for her. "I haven't paid much attention to the whole thing, but there was a march, Preternaturals for Peace I think they called it. Something happened today and the whole place seemed to explode. Whatever it was, people have died." Her tone became very grave as she looked to her younger sisters. "I needed to make sure you were all alright." She swallowed, and caught sight of Celeste, who had flown inside at the last minute. 'So everyone is okay, yes? This is good.' She gave a tight smile to her elemental and adjusted the strap of her bag.
"Of course I was worried about you," her gaze returned to the twins and their clasped hands. She could not bear to think what would have happened if they had been at the march in Ann Arbor. Nor Chelia or any of her other family members. She did love them all, but she wasn't in a place where she was ready to come home. She wished they would understand that.
