We're doing fine and it gets better every time
Who: Maddie, Bella and Gabby
Where: Gabby's house (much to her father's dismay!)
When: early evening
What: SLEEPOVER
Charles Lawrence had beaten a hasty retreat into his study (though let's face it, he didn't quite have the attention span to warrant even having that room) once he heard that his daughter's two friends were coming over. That was just fine with Gabby; even Urist had taken the opportunity to go hunting and leave her to her own devices. It was definitely the perfect opportunity to touch base with her closest friends; cops still swarmed all over the Court and the news was still filled with speculation about the boy Zach Temple. Though Gabby knew she would have heard that something had happened, it didn't hurt to make sure. Once it was established that yes, Bella and Maddie were both okay, Gabby had had the brilliant idea of ordering pizza and suggesting they both come over. What better way to spend time than with movies, good food and great company? Gabby couldn't think of anything better, though her thoughts fleetingly touched on the subject of Harley. She definitely loved hanging out with the were-riflebird, but there was such thing as "too much of a good thing" and the fire elemental didn't want to come off as...well, clingy. Which she was. Horribly so, and she and Harley hadn't really defined what it is was going on between them. Not the first time, Gabby was glad that neither Maddie nor Bella were telepaths. Her thoughts would probably be pretty embarrassing, considering how often Harley cropped up in them.
The doorbell rang and Gabby bounced over to the front hallway, looking to see who it was. While it wasn't who she thought, she was glad the pizza was here, though she was worried it might get cold before Bella and Maddie arrived. She paid the delivery guy and ran the pizzas into the kitchen, putting them into the oven to try to trap the heat in. Tapping her fingers on the countertop in impatience, Gabby wondered if she'd forgotten anything. There were a couple different kinds of pizza, since she knew that not everyone liked Hawaiian pizza as much as she did. There were sodas and all kinds of drinks, snacks and a veritable stack of blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. Plus, she had all sorts of movies that they could watch, and she hoped they'd have fun. Bouncing on the balls of her feet, Gabby wondered when her favorite elementals would arrive.
