You're talking to a bear
Who: Brodie and Jon
Where: Edge of the woods
When: Late afternoon
Jon didn't have anything against the woods. He didn't have anything against anything that was all nature-y and if he had that'd have just been weird since he'd been raised going out into them on a weekly basis and university had been spent up in an insanely wooded place. What he did have a thing against was being outside in the rain, completely soaked because he didn't (for whatever reason) own an umbrella. That was definitely going to be the first thing that he bought the next time he remembered that he needed to take himself to the store. When that would be was anyone's guess. It was not going to be right now. Right now was all taken up by his familiar being way too stubborn for her own good. He wanted to know if that was a bear thing, a female thing, a female bear thing or just the way that she was.
'You forget that I can hear all the things that you're thinking, don't you?' Half-pint asked as she continued to munch away on the slab of pork that he'd been thoughtful enough to bring her. 'I'm not stubborn. I'm hungry and I'm eating.'
"If you just drug it a little farther into the woods then there wouldn't be any worry about anyone seeing you and I wouldn't have to be standing out here, getting soaked, to make sure that no one freaks out and tries to tranq you or something." Jon was also soaked. He pulled the brim of that hat he was never without a little lower and reached into his pocket, fumbling with the damp cigarette case and then his lighter to try and light it up. Rain or no, he needed a smoke and the stress of knowing that his familiar was cool with just wandering around outside of the woods didn't help. "How often do you come out of the woods?"
Half-pint gave a shrug of her shoulders, attention still mostly focused on the pork. 'Daily, I don't know. I get bored sometimes. You should live closer so that I don't have to try to find you all the time.'
Jon snorted, a puff of smoke coming out his nose. "You worry about me?"
'Well duh, look at you. I could break you in half so you know a demon could.' Jon didn't give that the dignity of a response. Since he tended to cover Missy's reports it was more likely that he'd get up close to a vampire than a demon.
