"It's stupid to be scared," Lily said, looking bewildered that anyone could be scared. "It's not like whoever it is is going to all of a sudden go on a killing rampage in the middle of the school day. I mean, it's probably not any more likely than one of the human students flipping their shit and shooting up the place." And this was coming from a girl who'd been kidnapped and held as an unwilling blood donor. If anyone had cause to be prejudiced and afraid of vampires, it was Lily. And sure, she still had her issues, but it wasn't going to stop her championing of the student in question, who was so far getting a lot of shit for not doing anything at all.
"I'm fine," she grumbled, sighing. "I just forgot I wasn't wearing boots today. I've had worse; it only stings for a minute or two." Mention of a punching bag was intriguing. "Are you a boxer?" she asked. "I've never used a punching bag. I don't really punch anything except my brother." And random friends, but usually only whilst horsing around - and she pulled her punches with them. She was surprisingly strong for her size, and she didn't want to legit hurt anyone.
