In the magic shop
Who: Darcie and Lila
Where: Aeaea
When: Middy
When her daughter decided to wander away, Lila could only guess that she was going to see that snake of her, then she was left with nothing to do. Lila hadn't ever believed in cleaning for any reason and that did include to relieve boredom. Which she was currently filled with and nothing her familiar did had served to get rid of it. At least it was still nice outside, so when she decided that she was going to go for a walk to get rid of said boredom she wasn't plagued by thoughts of how the weather was out to go her. Because that was clearly what it was doing when it started raining. It was deliberately out to ruin any joy she might have in the day because as a master fire elemental she couldn't stand rain and it knew that. Water was just out to get her and it happened to be coming down from the sky. She really wished that there was another way for the world to carry on and all of that without rain being necessary.
Martie had been left at home because she didn't want to deal with having to figure out whether or not a monkey could go inside wherever she did. She didn't even know what exactly she was getting up to. One thing that she did know was that she wasn't going to go into that grocery store again for at least a few weeks. Not because she had any sort of fear for running into that weird, mute woman with the otherworldly air, but because she didn't think that the staff would appreciate seeing the woman who had started a fire in their store back again.
Somehow she wound up walking, not just down the road, but all the way into Scarlet Oak's business district. What a bustling place. The thought was a dry one and really, Lila didn't see what had ever drawn anyone to this little off-shoot in the first place. It figures that the water elemental would've come from here. He never had a grand sense of taste. The house was nice enough so there'd been money in his blood, but this? Really, this had nothing at all on where she'd grown up. If her father could see where his granddaughter had chosen to settle down for a time then he'd have rolled his eyes and asked why she had allowed it to happen. Lila understood the choice for two reasons; one being the sense of revenge even though Myers was now dead and the other being the existence of Zaviar Abdella. She wouldn't ask Madeleine to move away from the father of her unborn child, especially when he looked worth the time of day.
"Aeaea," Lila tested out the name of the store she had stopped in front of, attention caught by the display in the front window. It looked very much like the sort of shop that catered to witches and that meant it was supernatural friendly. Perhaps there was something in there relating to weres so that she could learn a little more about Zaviar. He certainly wasn't open to telling her and Madeleine wasn't much more use. Flicking a loose curl back over her shoulder, Lila pushed open the door and strode in.
