"You're welcome, Althea." The snake hadn't introduced herself, and neither had anyone else, but Madeleine had used the name awhile ago and since no one else was called that and it wasn't a swear-word Marius had decided it was the snake's name. At least he'd gotten one of the people in the room to like him. Even if it happened to be the actual snake instead of the were. "Slime forms in water, but I think it technically counts as earth... water elementals can't make it at least." If water elementals couldn't do it then Marius was going to say it didn't belong to them. And if they wanted to think that he was slimy then so be it, their minds obviously weren't changing. How exactly Madeleine's mind was focusing on anything that wasn't Zaviar and various parts of him for any length of time was quite beyond him. Especially with the remarks she'd been making. He really had been hoping that she'd just tear his clothes off so that he'd always have that to use against her in the future. If she was the sort to stick around his descendent instead of flitting off.
"We'll find out if you're worth my time," was all that Marius would say regarding Zaviar's magic. He didn't trust that humans could have near as good a grasp as demons and besides that, Zaviar obviously wasn't a born with. Were's couldn't be. He was a learned and that meant that, demonic blood or not, there were just some things he wasn't going to be as good at because he didn't have that natural knack. 'Leaving,' Puddles reminded him, nipping hard at his shirt and catching a bit of skin underneath. "Watch your beak." 'Get out the door and or I'll find somewhere better to put it.' How was it that the familiars being killed would possibly kill the one attached but not the other way around? Marius couldn't see how that made any sense. "Welcome for you being in that state, red, and yes he's leaving so you can go ahead and burn his clothes to cinders or whatever it was that fiery, lusty little mind of yours was kicking up. Try getting those nails into his back, I'm interested in learning how fast weres here." Marius touched a finger to his forehead and tossed it off in a mock salute. "Remember kids, condoms prevent accidents." Who the hell was he kidding? Marius hadn't used one of those in his life.
Puddles honked. 'You stay away. Both of you!' Her feathers ruffled and if she could've gotten any further into Marius' arms she would have. Shaking his head, the demon stepped out the door. "Oh, make sure to close that," he called over his shoulder. "Unless you want to give the neighborhood a show."
