You can't stutter when you're talking with your eyes
Who: Michael and Regina
Where: Cafe close to U of M campus
When: Afternoon
Aside from making sure demons weren't killing his grand-niece and that evil more or less remained at bay in the town, Michael had to remind himself that he did have a more human job to attend to. Before he knew it, classes would start back up at the university, which meant he couldn't be out at odd hours playing vigilante when there were pesky papers to grade. At least with law students, he wasn't babysitting first year undergraduates that were bound to drop out within a month. Oh, there were still drop outs, but at least the level of intelligence amongst his students was higher than the level of outright stupidity. Seriously, college students baffled the hell out of him.
There was an inbox crammed with unanswered emails that Michael had to attend to, along with last minute papers. While he was accustomed to sitting in his office with the door locked when it came to going about his work, one of his colleagues made the comment that perhaps he should get outside, get some fresh air, and maybe do his work somewhere public. Michael wasn't sure if it was a joke or maybe a way to pull him outside to show the student body that, yes, he indeed existed and was alive, but regardless, he actually took it into consideration. A nice cup of coffee would sit well with him while he leisurely skimmed through his to-do list. He just prayed he wasn't swarmed by students the second he sat down.
Once he obtained said cup of coffee, he found a spot outside, slightly disgusted that half the seats were still wet from the prior rain, and took out his laptop and to begin work. On and off a familiar face from campus said hi to him, to which Michael barely looked up to give them a nod. Unless a demon came out of nowhere, he was quite content where he was. What the hell could possibly happen on a dull afternoon?
