Hey everybody :)
I'm Jen and I'm bringing in Darcy Rhone from the Something Borrowed series (although is it really a series if it's only two books? lol) by Emily Giffin. If you own and watch a television, I'm sure you've seen the trailers for the movie that came out earlier this month, in which case I have two points to make: 1.) Darcy was never blonde in the books, so Kate Hudson was a horrible casting decision as far as fitting the physical description; so I'm not being a rebel by not using her, I'm following the physical description in the book and being obnoxiously anal about it and 2.) If you have seen that movie or read the book and are planning on reading the next book or seeing the next movie when it comes out...I'm sorry ahead of time, but my version of Darcy is a giant, walking spoiler because she actually is being brought in from well into the sequal, Something Blue, so I hope that no one minds :(
Darcy recently turned 30 years old and earlier the day before she woke up here, she found out that was she was not only not having the girl she'd been dreaming of...but she's actually eighteen weeks pregnant with twin boys. She's already overwhelmed with that information and the idea of raising two boys alone so waking up here on top of it is going to be a bit much for her poor abused psyche haha. She's trying to reform herself but for the most part, she's still very arrogant, shallow, and selfish. She means well, but she's honest in a way that smacks of passive-aggressive put-downs; she's the queen of backhanded compliments. She's an attention whore and a drama queen and she's also spoiled and rich, so she's really not the most dazzling person to be around, even though she thinks she is. But again, she's trying to change all that. It just might take her a while...especially when a wrench as big as Lethe Project gets thrown into the spokes of her attempted transformation.
I am really excited to be here and can't wait to play with you guys.
