Abi was still distressed about the sudden, inexplicable drama that had happened at her dance party the night before. Not to mention, whatever the hell that was going on with her brother. Things had been going perfectly well, with a turnout far beyond what she'd had expected. People were dancing, drinking, enjoying themselves, which had been the whole point in the first place. Then, out of nowhere, Alastair's girlfriend was yelling at someone, who turned out to be Liam, and before Abi could even fight her way through the crowd, Alastair took a slap to the face and the three of them had fled in separate directions. Abi had considered going after Liam. He had barely wanted to go to the party last night anyway, so it was entirely her fault that he was even there. And she might've abandoned ship if she didn't feel the need to make sure that Ellie was okay. Not to mention, she wasn't sure if Liam would've wanted her to go after him. He might just want to calm down away from everything. And then there was what her friends would think and say if she went running after a guy. She resolved herself to waiting until Friday morning. He'd either be in class, or she'd use her Study Hall time to track him down. She was hoping that he was okay and that it was just some sort of weird misunderstanding. The nagging feeling in her stomach, however, suggested otherwise. He was there in Espionage, and she was relieved to see it, though he looked even more broody than usual, which was impressive, really. She spent most of the class trying to catch his eye, but hadn't been all that successful. Giving a quick word to her friends that she'd meet up with them later, she hurried to be among the first out of the door so she could wait for him, ensuring he wouldn't escape. "Hey!" She said quickly as he came out the door. She had to hurry to fall into step beside him, her short legs working overtime. "I guess you won the unspoken bet on whether or not I'd get you to dance last night. But I'm not sure leaving before I've had the chance to even try is all that fair." She said, trying to start out with a light mood. |
