Since a lot of people seem to be focused on NaNo this month and next month, I'm not going to bother with an activity check until the end of November. It'll just be a 'comment if you're still here' post, no activity needed, but I'm going to clear out all the deadweight the beginning of December, so please make sure to comment at that time if you are still interested in sticking around. I'm hoping things will pick up again at that time and we can continue on with bigger stuff in the Merlin plot.

Hi, it's Meg2 with another character for you all. This here is Elena Romanova, bastard child of Roger Davies and a Russian immigrant by the name of Olga Romanova. Roger knocked up her mom at a shady party and then peaced out when he found out she was pregnant, so he's definitely not father of the year. He basically told Olga that her baby might end up being a witch and then disappeared. Elena's never met him (or maybe she could have if someone brought him in) and doesn't really care to.
So she's 27-years-old, a former Ravenclaw, and works as an Auror in the Investigation Department of the DMLE. She's also super tech savvy and will be the creator of tablet-like journal and wizarding internet HOPEFULLY SOON! Like Harry Potter, she grew up having really no idea about the wizarding world until she got her letter and went off to Hogwarts. She was very quiet and worked really hard to keep her grades up for the first few years, and then puberty really took over and she started to get attention from boys and stuff. She dated one guy until he graduated during her sixth year, then decided to just be a sleaze instead of settling down again so she could focus on her NEWTS. She graduated top of her class, acts a bit arrogant, has some addictive tendencies, and is a butthead, so, umm.. give me lines?

So because I'm a nerd, I started trying to pin down exact dates for Hogsmeade weekends.
We know from the books that the first one is around Halloween, one around Christmas, one around Valentine's day.
So that's October, December, February.
I chose the 17th Oct out of a hat for Jon's comment on Sonali's journal because Halloween is REALLY FAR AWAY. But. How do we want to do Hogsmeade?
Once every two months, like in canon?
Once a month?
Edit: Once every fortnight, with the first falling on the 17th October, seems to be the consensus. Any objections?

Okay, so Charlotte was boring me and I cannot deny a Heather in need, so I have traded out my photographer for the Primary School librarian.
Taryn is engaged to Matthew and they have an adorable cottage that she wants to fill with babies asap. She is a Hufflepuff of the class of 2019, she was also Prefect and Head Girl, and has always been a book nerd.
She loves Classic Pooh and evenings spent with tea. She's usually rather quiet and polite, but does have a bit of a temper that'll ignite if her buttons are pushed. She loves her job and her students and other nice things.
So yeah. Whee.

Harry is a more mature version of his teenage, angsty self. He's a loving, caring, doting father and husband and a loyal friend to all he holds dear. James and Lily, here's looking at you.
His main job is the Head of the Auror's office and he does sporadic guest lectures at Hogwarts during Defense Against the Dark Arts classes.
Befriend me, please. Unless you're Pansy Parkinson, whom he has his reservations about still.

Jen again, with yet another muse. Damnit. This here is Jonathan Campbell, eldest of the many Campbell's. He's 35, widowed 3 years ago, has a 4 year old bundle of mischief named Euan. He owns and runs Comet Cakes in Hogsmeade, so those of you in/near the school probably know him to say hello to at least. He does make exceedingly good cakes. *cough*
He's rather shy and keeps rather unsociable hours (well you try getting up at 4am 6 days a week and see how many late nights YOU manage...), and is utterly devoted to Euan and to his family. He's in a rut, so he definitely needs to make some new friends, older or younger.
So yes. Plot ideas! Friends! Customers! People who think his cakes are overrated! Bring em at me.

Lis here with #7 and my first trio era, Pansy Parksinon, now Pansy Finch-Fletchley. Yes, that would mean she married Justin Finch-Fletchley, muggleborn Hufflepuff DA member. If you have something to say about it, you can keep it to yourself as Pansy does not want to hear about it.
Prior to her marriage to Justin, she married and then divorced Magnus Rowle, which resulted in her eldest son. She has three others with Justin. Pansy loves her sons fiercely, almost desperately, and far too often can come across as domineering and possessive. Empty-nest syndrome hit her hard when her youngest, Grayson, went to Hogwarts, but she'd never admit to something so... ordinary. You may, however, notice that her gardens were (and are) looking especially splendid. She also throws herself into planning her annual Christmas and June garden parties. Or any other parties that may come her way.
She would love her friends about. Or her sons. Husband. Or enemies. Enemies are good too. :D

Pretty sure those of you in blast chat have seen her already, BUT just in case.
This here is Lena Krum. Middle Krum sibling, Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies, lesbian, single as of about an hour ago. She's got a bit of a 'tude on her, but she's a softie really.
Iiii will be looking for frands, teammates, rivals, plots of any shape and size. COME AT ME, BROS.
