So hai, guys. Up in the community you will see letters to each of your characters with instructions from your matchmaker.


1-Ascendant players: Set it up. PM your Beloved to arrange a time for you two to thread. If you don't get a reply within 3 days let us know. If there's no reply by the end of the week, the player's going to get a warning for not playing within that week.
2- Beloved Players. If you don't hear from the ascendant player within 3 days tell us! If nothing in a week, then the player's going to get a warning for not playing within that week.
3- All players! If we matched you up with yourself- two options. 1- Thread with yourself. 2- don't thread, but don't ping us.

Keep in mind (still!) these are by no means final matches: This is Leroy spying on you to see how you interact.

For reasons of plot and such, discussed in this thread here.. Jonas is wanting to set up a meeting at the Sheriff's Office to try to find out some information related to the ongoing plot. This will be of the town's more creative-minded / those involved in mechanical work - type folks. He's going to be shortly sending out requests via telegraph. So far I have the following on my list to invite:

Santiago de la Vega - Farrier 
Simon Belgrave - Apothecary
Julien MacKallister - Inventor
Benjamin Simoneaux- Glass blower
Daisuke Shimada - Blacksmith/mechanic
Missy Lee- seeking apprenticeship or similiar job role/mechanic/inventor

There will also be NPC's from the Sheriff's Office in attendance.  Leonora Coleman , the new deputy sheriff, will also be invited. As will Jonathon Stanton - Barrister (Same goes for these charries, if you don't want them involved, just let me know).

If you think your character would like to be involved, and I haven't mentioned you above shout up now. Likewise, if you'd prefer that your character didn't receive an invite, please leave me a note here. Of course, even if your character receives an invite, they are free not to attend the actual meeting, as it's not a formal police questioning session.

Just for information. The post that's up regarding Jonas' search for a new deputy is available now for immediate reactions. Everyone and anybody is welcome to apply.

If charries wish to apply for the post at the Sheriff's office, shout me up here, or send me a PM, and we can thread the application under a separate thread.  Or feel free to assume that the pick up of the form happens out of play. Or post it as a closed post. Any way is all good.. *g*

The process goes thus:
Applicant presents themselves at the Sheriff's office and asks to speak to Jonas.
Jonas goes through the application form with applicant, applicant then either fills it in there and then, or takes it away with them.
Application then goes into the Sheriff's office, and processed.
Successful applicants get interviewed by the Acting Sheriff and the Mayor, then Jonas and Leroy make the final decision.

Potential applicants have a week to get the application in, then we'll be be doing  'interviews'.

The more the merrier really. Wheee!

Mods: Have we got any 'jobs' or 'town admin' type tags I can be using in the main comm?

Conversations between the mods (here after referred to as Evil 69 and Evil 666) have led to the creation of a PLAN.

What is this PLAN you ask? I'm so glad you asked. The PLAN is a multi faceted thing. It both advances the plot and provides an ooc ability to move some of your characters: muse not working? want to try a new one? Come on down to the plot station.

Basically. If you have a character who you want to get rid of for whatever reason and want an IC reason to do so, you can volunteer them to take a train ride up a new town up the coast: catch is, the train never arrives. If you prefer no train, the other option is for them to disappear in another manner- that I'm going to limit to 2 characters (no muffins, just for it to work for plot).

So. Let us know here so we can wrap up. If you have a character who's matched with another character already and you want to drop them, check with the other player first. We'll work something out. The PLAN has room for ALL THINGS.

Dear mods! Forgive my cloudy brain.

When a marriage contract is drawn up and witnessed, who is responsible for creating the document? is it the yenta, or a judge, or a lawyer? Or someone else I've not thought of?

Obediah, Ben, Charles and Jon I. If you could all comment to this post, I'll roll to see how well people did if that's okay with everyone. Let me know how much experience your character has from 0(never played) to 10 (Could take the World Series of Poker) and how much risk they take from 0-100%.

Does that sound good to everyone?

FYI: I know that in other games, I've had an increased number of replies and/or notifications that haven't made it through in the past couple of weeks. If you think a thread has died because you haven't gotten a response from your partner, you may want to give them an OOC poke to make sure it's not just because their rep got eaten.
