WHO: Stefan (inyourgreeneyes) and Elena (huntsbunnies)
WHEN: Friday morning
WHERE: Their room, in bed
WHAT: Morning snuggles
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In progress
Stefan didn't want to open his eyes. The bed was too warm and sleep was too nice. He knew he'd have to get up at some point, but right then he just wanted to lay there. He'd been dreaming. Now that he was awake, he couldn't remember what it had been about, but he could remember that it had happened. He didn't dream a lot - no vampire did.
With a sigh, Stefan rolled onto his side, the white sheets slithering across his bare chest as he moved. Slowly, he let one eye lazily slide open. Elena was beside him, as usual, looking like a sleeping angel, her dark hair fanned out across the pillow. A tiny smile came to Stefan's lips as he watched her with that one open green eye. He always marvelled over how beautiful she was. It amazed him; she could look so wonderful even when she was fast asleep.
He must have watched her for nearly quarter of an hour, the minutes slipping easily by as the light from outside began to filter more determinedly through the curtains. Stefan wasn't sure what time it was. It didn't feel particularly early, but he was sure he hadn't slept in late either. Still, what did it matter. They had nothing to do here save spend time with each other and explore the island. Stefan had spent time with a few other people but, most of the time, he was completely content to just be with his Elena. They had promised they'd be together forever and Stefan couldn't see himself ever wanting to go back on that agreement.
Eventually he decided he should get up and at least have a shower and get dressed, ready for whatever drama the Damons were undoubtedly causing today. He pushed himself up from the bed, the sheet pooling around his waist, and leaned over to press a soft kiss to Elena's lips, trying not to wake her.
