Stefan grinned, hearing her silky giggle. Elena happy was the thing that made his world turn. He loved hearing her laugh. "Well now it can be our favourite place here, not just mine." He gave her a little squeeze as she turned her face up to him, his lips meeting hers. Her touch, again, was soft and smooth, like silk on his skin rather than lips. Still, he didn't mind it if he got to be here with her. "Virginia has its charms," he said after a moment. "It's home," he explained. He didn't know what it was, but something always drew him home, no matter how many decades passed since he had last seen it. He expected it would be the same for Elena. "Besides, if I'd just stayed here all my eternity, I'd never have met you and you couldn't be here with me to enjoy it."
