WHO: Ashley and Roger Jr.
WHAT: Having a brother and Sister moment
WHERE: Ravenclaw Common Room.
WHEN: After dinner
WHY: Because Ashley and Roger need to spend some time together.
RATING: PG, possibly PG-13
STATUS: In progess. Closed to just them.

Ashley had been having a bad couple of days and felt a bit unlike herself, to be honest. She was laying on her stomach in the Ravenclaw Common Room's comfortable couch and was staring into the fireplace, as she was thinking about things. Her face was a little red, but probably wasn't noticable because of the fire that was going. She had a lot on her mind and didn't know why being a girl had to be so emotional. Her curly mane of hair was brushed behind her ears and was tied back in a navy blue colored bow.

She rolled onto her back and stared up at the ceiling and took a deep breath and looked around the common room and only saw some first and second years roaming around. She had changed from her uniform and was wearing pajamas, which was sky blue with fluffy clouds on them. Yes, she had childish pajamas, but tha twas just how she was, plus she was comfortable. She brought her knees to her chin and rested her forehead on her knees, as she sniffled. She figured that her brother was off with one of the girls that kept drooling over him, which made her sick to her stomach. Dustin was off with Saxen, doing whatever. Oliver was probably avoiding her for what happened a couple nights ago in the Boy's dormitory.

She rested her head on the arm of the couch and softly sighed, sniffling a little bit more. She wasn't aware of anyone entering or leaving the common room, but at that moment in time, she could care a less.

A little startled by the voice of her brother, Ashley just wiped her eyes and faked a smile. "Oh, yeah...Just..thinking about Dad and other tings..That's all." She said, clearing her throat and sniffling a little bit more. She patted the spot next to her to have him sit down. She needed her brother, but she was just to wrapped up to admit it.

"What have you been up to lately, baby brother?" She asked ,as she looked him over and couldn't believe how much he'd grown up and it made fresh tears appear in her eyes, but she blinked them back. She relaxed on the couch and sniffled a little more and wiped the fresh tears away from her eyes.

"Oh..." Roger said moving to take a seat next to Ashley like she gestured. He could understand why she was upset now, if she was thinking about their Dad... It was definitely becoming more of an issue in their family over the last few years. Roger had looked up to his father for so long before, and he was even named after him. It was hard and sometimes RJ was just glad to be in school instead of home.

"I've been freezing rabbit teacups in the hallway. I didn't lose mine, but a lot of others did. Kind of amusing really," he said giving her a small smile for such trivial news. "What about you?"

She rested her head against her brother's shoulder and sniffled a soft laugh when he mentioned what he had been doing and looked at him. "Rabbit Teacups? Goodness, Sixth years are a bit slow in catching their rabbits, aren't they?" She said, with another sniffle and patted him on the back. Scratching her forehead, she looked him over a bit and shrugged. "Not a whole lot. Spending time with Oliver..Dustin...some time with Avalon. Mainly with Oliver, though and I did the stupidest thing in the world, but I'll have to get over it." She told him.

She wrapped her arms around him and sighed softly. "Don't grow up too fast, Baby brother. Be happy and whatever you do, don't do things you'll regret in life. Mum and dad wouldn't forgive me if you did something horrible." She started rambling, but that was what she was best at. She let go of her brother and placed her hands on his cheeks looking him in the eyes. "You look like you've grown up too fast...We all have had to grow up, but Promise, that once I'm out of here..and I've moved out...You'll keep Melinda and Sarah away from Dad...away from his stupidity. Promise me, RJ." She was practically begging him to watch the younger ones like a hawk when they were at home for the holidays.

"Well they do bite, and some of them try to pick them up than use their wands," Roger said with a shrug. He'd just thought it was easier to freeze them and waited for a 6th year to come collect them.

"Stupid? That's not a very good Ravenclaw attitude," RJ said laughing slightly but he was worried about Ashley's tone. "What do you mean though? What happened?" he asked. He hadn't been talking to Oliver or Dustin for awhile.

He arched an eyebrow when she hugged him. "Ashley... are you sure you're okay?" he asked confused. She was telling him not to grow up too fast, which he wasn't. But still... he'd be 17 in no time, and a full age wizard. Only one year of school left and then he out in the real world. "You know I wouldn't do anything like that, and Mum and Dad wouldn't blame you anyway," he said trying to understand where this was coming from.

He frowned at the mention of Dad. "I've always looked out for them. And you know Dad wouldn't do anything to hurt them..." he said wanting to believe that. "I promise," he said after a pause.

She looked down the whole time she speak to him and mumbled to herself a little bit, before actually speaking. "I told Oliver that I was, Well, I am in love with him. Stupid move, huh?" She said, with a soft chuckle and she looked up at him, looking around a bit and back at him. " I guess I shouldn't have said it, only because he's avoiding me." She told him, looking back down and shaking her head a little.

"Just remember, no matter where you are..I have my eye on you, baby brother. A promise is a promise and Sarah and Mel will tell me if you aren't keeping them safe. I'll take on Dad during Christmas...Mum says he's not drinking, but you know how long that lasts for." She said, not looking at him, but at her hands.

"You did what?!" Roger said shocked by what she was saying. Well, there was the real reason why she was so upset. "You just... told him? Just like that?" he said. He could understand why Oliver would be avoiding. Ashley and Oliver were just friends weren't they? That just... was the kind of bomb, no guy liked being dropped on them. "I mean... I'm sure he's not... avoiding you on purpose. He'll come around," RJ said. He could sympathize with the surprising nature of his sister with Oliver but... if Ashley stayed like this for long, Roger was going to angry with him.

"Yes, yes I know. Put the fear in me, watching my every move," Roger said brushing off the worry or any real danger. "Well maybe he is stopping this time," he said hopeful. He was always hopeful when it came to those kinds of changes.
