As soon as she write her last comment to Shane, Samantha closed her journal and told her dorm mates that she would be back later. Grabbing a small back and putting in a few sweets, she headed out from the dorm. As she walked, she tried to think of what she should say to Shane. 'Hi Shane, watching get hurt yesterday really scared me, did I mention I think I fancy you?' Oh yes, that sounded very stupid in her head. Samantha wasn't even sure if she should take Gianna's advice and tell him. He seemed to be really confused about something, well girls. She was sure that he was having girl problems, maybe he didn't even like her? Merlin, how stupid would she feel?

Once she entered the Hospital Wing, Madam Pomfrey seemed to have popped out of now where and demanded what she was doing here. You could always tell when she had a lot of work to do, she was always a bit cranky. "Oh um, I'm here to see Shane..Capper." Pomfrey nodded and told her not to stay too long and pointed her in the right direction. After thanking her, Samantha quickly moved away from the lady and found Shane's bed. Ugh. She didn't like seeing him like this. Possibly the worst part about Quidditch, she didn't like seeing her friends hurt like that.

"Shane," Samantha said as she sat down next to him. "Um- How are you feeling?"

Samantha noticed it, he was stuttering again. For the most part he was pretty good at not acting like that towards her. Like he said, he was doing better with talking to her without being so nervous. Which didn't help her at all at the moment, his sudden nerves made her a little nervous too.

"Really?" Samantha said with a small smile. "I don't know how I do that, but I'm glad."

Focus Shane, come on. Stop acting like an idiot. He mentally coached himself. He rubbed his chin, thinking. "You know how we were talking about...how it's hard to find out how someone feels about you...and how it's best to ask...but that is so much easier said than done. When you put yourself out there like that, you risk...dissapointment, humiliation...and all sorts of bad can come of it..." He looked down at the bed in which he was laying in, trying to pick the best words to say. "I wish there was just a way you could know..."

"Oh," was all Samantha could manage to say. She wasn't exactly sure what to say to this. Her heart was pounding harder now and she was sure that he would be able to hear it. "Trust me, I know how that feels." Samantha said slowly. Was he trying to tell her something? What if he was talking about someone else? She couldn't take that risk and just flat out tell him right? Maybe this time he would just have to come in say it. Save her from being humiliated.

"I..I think that..um." Crap! She couldn't get anything out. Merlin, why did this have to be so bloody hard. Sucking in her bottom lip, she bit on it gently, trying to figure what to say and how to say it.

It was cute to see her like this. A smile appeared on his face, spread across his lips, and lit up his face. "Sam...I...uh...I thought I was bad at not finishing my sentences," he chuckled. His chest rose and fell with every deep breath. Blood pounded through his veins and he swallowed down his doubt. He would do it. So what if she turned him down. She made him feel spectacular, for the entire time she was there, Rosalie had left his mind completely.

"Samantha Ackerly...I...I haven't been able to stop thinking about you since the Ball...actually...since before then. I like you...and it's okay if you don't feel the same...just...tell me the truth...just like it is...no sugar coated sweetness. Just exactly how you feel."

His words spat out of his mouth at a wickedly fast pace. He took a deep breath. It was done...he couldn't take it back.

Samantha repeated his words in her mind slowly. I like you.. It really took her strength to stop her from giggling like an idiot. She would definitely have to wait till she got to her dorm to do that. This was probably the happiest she felt, besides when she first read Pride and Prejudice, she nearly squealed when Mr. Darcy confessed his feelings for Elizabeth.

"Really? I..wow." She was at a lost for words. Though the smile on her face hopefully told him that she wasn't upset about his confession at all. Squeezing his hand gently, she looked back to Shane. "I..I really like you too, Shane."

	"Really?" Shane asked her attempting to sit up. He forgot all about his broken ribs and let out an "ahh!" Slowly, he leaned back. Blood seemed to rush to his head. "You, you like me too?" He asked her again. Excitement bubbled in his stomach. He was still breathing deeply. Raising her hand to his lips, he kissed it softly. Never had he been so relieved. Samantha nodded, she was so insanely happy at this moment. Her face went red as he kissed her hand. She could feel her stomach going in knots. There was something she wanted to do. Something that she didn't feel brave enough, well really until now. Taking a deep breathe, she leaned over, carefully not to hurt him and kissed him on the lips.

"S-sorry, just..you know..kinda wanted to do that."

	When her lips met his, an electric shock ran though him. He had never expected it...she just kissed him. Slowly he raised his tan hand to her cheek. When she broke the kiss, his blue eyes starred up at her in amazement. He breathed heavily and it hurt his ribs. "I think I'm rubbing off on you," he stated about her apologizing. 	Shane put on his cocky face and stated, "Well I have that affect on people." He laughed, unsuccessful at trying to be cool. Laying back against his pillows, he put his right hand under his head, looking up at her. "Yeah!" He bursted out, trying not to laugh at her question. "I thought so...did you think so?" 	Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she let out a few small giggles when he bursted out like that. "Oh yea, I thought so too." Instantly she had felt better, her nerves weren't so tied up in knots now. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"...Good. I'm...uh...glad we agree," Shane mumbled. His eyes were wide and intense as they starred up at her. He had taken her completely by suprise. Rosalie who? Now that he had a taste of her kiss he wanted another.

Madam Pomfrey walked by, muttering who knows what under her breath. Then she walked by again and stopped at the foot of his bed, tapping a bottle of medicine with her fingernail. That was her signal to Sam that it was time for her to leave. Shane closed his eyes and moaned. He didn't want her to leave him yet.

Samantha opened to mouth to say something, but when Madam Pomfrey came by, she closed it quickly. She could tell that her visiting time was up, she looked over at Shane, biting her lower lip gently, not wanting to leave him. But she didn't want to get into trouble, she she gave him an encouraging smile.

"You should probably rest, I don't want to keep you up." Squeezing his hand gently she leaned over to give him a small kiss on his forehead. "Feel better soon. I'll see you when you get out."
