The Great Hall was emptying quickly as students took to their dorms and out to the lake to enjoy the last of the semi-warm weather. He, however, excused himself from the group with a comment about 'urgent homework' and 'some much needed studying'. Both of which were completely untrue, and he was sure that his friends would see right through his lies. But the waved him off with no doubt in their minds. Shrugging his bag onto his shoulder, Bastian set off toward the library with the knowledge that all of the school's simple assignments were already completed and handed in. This gave him the perfect opportunity to take part in his most guilty of habits.

Sebastian shot a nonchalant glance over his shoulder. Nobody. he told himself before digging in his canvas bag. He had claimed the furtherest table from the library's doors - it was all but hidden behind the shelves - and made himself, obviously too, at home. This way it would be known that he wanted to be left to himself. He pulled open a book with a cover that had long since been new and crisp. A closer glance at the title would reveal the words Marion Zimmer Bradley. The Mists of Avalon. His nose had been buried in its depth for almost half an hour when he heard something sound in front of him. With a jerk, his head shot up and he noticed the girl he recognized as Samantha. He hesitated, "Hey," he finally said.
