WHO: Nymphadora and Jackson
WHEN: Break.
WHERE: Diagon Alley. The Weasley's SHop.
WHAT: A chance encounter?
RATING: tba...
STATUS: Closed / In Progress

It was a fairly hot day in Diagon Alley. Tragically, this simple fact was magnified somehow inside the Weasley's store, particularly in the counter where on Nymphadora sat. She even believed it was possible that all the heat in the room was solely concentrated on her side of the room, and no where else. Bright sunlight filled the room from the window to her side, her hair- this season bright Weasley red- standing out astoundingly against her old black graphic shirt. She was stacking and restacking the boxes displayed by the register, forming a castle before she brings them down form a pyramid. Nymphadora was never one who stayed bored for long, for he could always find something to do, or someone to bother. Really, approaching the customers when they're deciding for their purchases wasn't necessary, but she does it anyway to entertain herself.

At the moment, however, the store was empty except for her. It did not come as a surprise for her. It was around 3 in the afternoon, a dead time in their day. More customers arrive in the evenings anyway. Dora checked the clock in the corner . Her shift was almost done, and she wondered distantly what she could do to make time fly by faster..

He rolled his eyes playfully at her. She most certainly was no where near fat or anything like that. She was crazy! "Addy might be in great shape, but you sure aren't a fat arse, Dora. Anyone with working eyes could see that," he said, smiling at her. He wasn't great at sports, either. He ended up tripping on his own feet half the time and the other half working at scoring on the wrong goal. He was in awe of Addy, really, for being so athletic. It was just slightly amazing. "Four of 'em, eh? That's a few more than I have," he said with a laugh.

He listened to her story about how she'd came up with the ice cream that they were currently eating and laughed. That sounded like her. "Well, I'm very glad you decided to rebel, then, these are pretty amazing." Really, he hadn't thought that mint and bubble gum would go too well together, either, but it turned out that it did. Go figure. "My favorite? Cookies and Cream, actually. Love it. And Rocky Road!" But really, it was hard to find an ice cream that he didn't like. He opened his mouth when she offered to toss it in his mouth, ready to catch it.

"I am such a fatty compared to my sister. The most amount of physical exercise I've done is... lift my utensils during dinner time." Dora said, shaking her head. She was massively inadept in sports that she had just chosen to be an announcer instead to show her support for her sister. "And yes, four. Don't you have four?" she asked, feigning innocence. She was more than aware that she eats like she's constantly starved to death. Which is NOT true at all. It could be the dominant Weasley genes.

"I know right?" Dora agreed enthusiastically. "It tastes strange, but in a very good way. But the ones you like are awesome, too! In fact, I can't think of any flavor I don't like... Maybe the green tea one. I'm not too much of a fan of that..." Fingers tapped her chin as she thought. "And pistaccio. For some reason the green ones." A laugh. Then when he opened his mouth, she tossed the chip in his mouth. "Score!" She pumped her fist in the air in her victory, laughing. "My turn!" she said, opening her mouth.

He just pffted at her and rolled eyes eyes again. She was off her rocker, clearly. She might not have been as built as Addy was, but that didn't make her fat. "Well, compared to like, the rest of the world? You look just fine. Not fat at all. And don't feel lonely. I'm not big on physical activity, either, so we are in that boat together." Really, the best he could do during quidditch matches was wave around a banner and cheer. "No, I don't think I do. Two, maybe, but not four. Maybe it's a girl thing?" he asked, winking. It was obvious that he was just teasing.

He nodded, taking another bite and letting it slide down. Strange but good was a good way of describing the way it tasted, yes. He nodded his head. "I like most kinds. I've never had the green tea, though. I don't think I'd like it very much. I like pistaccio, though. It's weird, too. I wouldn't go choose it over the others, though," he said, nodding his head. When the chip landed in his mouth, he mimicked her fist pump and took one of his own chips and tossed it, missing just slightly. "Drat! See? No athletic ability. Not even in THIS."

"My family is big on the whole Quidditch thing. I think all the athletic ability between me and Addy had not been properly distributed in my mum's womb. It all ended up on her side, obviously." Dora really wasn't too miffed about it. In fact, she truly did enjoy being the announcer for her family games, and in the Hufflepuff games back in school. It gave her the opportunity to parttake in the sport without embarrassing herself too much. Plus, she always had the best seat in the house! In her mind, it was a good deal. " Well, my mum and sister don't have such huge apetites. I don't think it's that. maybe I'm just a freak?" she suggested.

"The green tea was just weird. Tasted like grass ice cream." She scrunched her nose in her distaste. "Paul and I like mint. The second sundae is for him, cause I remember promising him I'll eat one in his honor while he's out travelling." Grinning, she took another big bite of her treat. When Jackson had aimed the chocolate chip in her mouth and bounced off her cheek, she laughed heartily. "Oh, try again!" she took Jackson's hand from across the table, plucked a chip from the bowl, and placed it in between his index and thumb. She moved closer until only an inch was left in the space between his hand and her open mouth. She looked at him with wide expectant eyes...

He nodded. His family wasn't HUGE on quidditch, but like any proper wizarding family, they all enjoyed it. But it wasn't like the Weasleys. They all did seem pretty big into the sport. But he liked listening to Dora commentate the matches. She did a good job at it. "Addy is pretty great at the game, gotta give her that," he said, with a swift nod. He shook his head when she suggested she was a freak. "Naw, that can't be it. You seem perfectly normal to me!" he finished, tilting his head at her and taking another bite.

"Well, if I knew what grass tasted like, I'd probably agree with you," he said, winking at her. He'd never tasted grass before! He grinned when she mentioned his his male best friend. "Oh, I was wondering why you got two, other than your big appetite, of course," he said, bowing his head a little bit. He took the chip from her and tossed, aiming carefully and he let out a whoop as it sailed into her mouth. "SCORE!" It was at that moment that he noticed the ice cream she'd gotten on her nose, and he laughed. "Ummm, you've got a little right...." he reached over and wiped it off, "there."

"Oh, she is!" Dora was very proud of her sister. She could take out the majority of their male cousins easily enough. It was pretty impressive for a girl her size. "And yes, I'm pretty much a freak, Jackson. It's just something you have to deal with." A thoughtful pause, before she pointed her spoon towards Jackson. "Do you think you can deal with it?"

When the other pointed out that he didn't know the taste of grass, her eyes widened in realization. "Hey, when I say I eat everything, I don't really mean everything!" she pointed out, pouting. "I haven't eaten grass. Oh, and I eat like this all the time, even without my promises to Paul. It's just that this one..." she pointed the sundae on the tray in front of them. "... is for his honor." Dora laughed heartily when Jackson was finally able to manage to shoot a chocolate chip in her mouth, then turned pink when the other wiped something off her nose. She bit her lower lip and brushed her index on the spot he just touched. "How long have I had ice cream on my nose?"

He knew for a fact that if Addy was to ever get mad at him, like really and truly mad, he'd have it. She was tough. But then again, he knew that she would never get mad at him like that, so it was all okay. "And okay, but we've all got a little freak in us, so it's okay," he said, waving his hand. They all had odd little habits and quirks, didn't they?

"Good, I was starting to wonder if you were some sort of livestock, going around eating grass and all. I mean, I'm down with the vegetarian thing and all, but that might be taking it just a little too far," he said, laughing softly. "I'm not sure, actually. I just know noticed it. As you can tell, I'm horribly observant. Or is it horrible at observing," he said, laughing again. It wasn't a big deal at all.

"A little freak in us. Now, there's somehting I don't hear everyday." Nymphadra said, giggling to herself before she took another big chunk of ice cream in her mouth. She watched him right across from hr, realizing she had not truly seen how awesome he was 'til now. "Well, what's your freaky little talent, Jackson? Care to share that with me, or would you rather save me from the trauma?"

Her eyebrows drew together when he spoke. "I don't eat grass, ok?" she cleared up. "I have, however, had the misfortune of downing a grass flavored Bertie Bott's once. Among other things." Earwax, dirt... the list went on and on. It was the downside of being such an adventurous eater. She remembered her mum nce telling her that she would put everything she got her hands on in her mouth. "No, not horrible at observing. " she said. A slow smile creeped up her features. "It's alright. Just thankful I got it off."

"So." She started then, pulling her knees up on the seat. "I want to play a game. Just a simple questions game. Maybe... we can shoot chips in each other's mouths. Whoever misses, gets to be asked a quesion. You in?"

He shrugged, laughing. "Well, I think it's the truth," he said, taking another bite of his Sunday. "I mean, think about it. We all have our little quirks and habits, so, that would be freaky. Thus, we all have a little freak in us!" He shrugged, laughing. "I dunno, I have a few, I guess. I still sleep with a light on. Not because I'm afraid, but just out of habit. Just when I'm at home, though. And since we are on the topic of ice cream and all, I like to eat chips in my ice cream a lot. Especially barbecue." He wasn't sure how WEIRD either of those were, but you certainly didn't hear about them every day.

"Okay, okay, I believe you," he said, laughing, though it was pretty clear that he was just teasing her. "Oh Merlin, so have I before. Absolutely nasty. Though, I gotta say, I've had nastier ones though. Which is kind of scary, but still." Those things were just dangerous on principle. Because mud and wood should never really be a flavor for ANYTHING. "Yep, it's gone!" he said, laughing.

"Um, sure!" he said when she mentioned the game. He was pretty bad at thinking of questions half the time, but he would give it his best shot!

"NO. WAY." Dora exclaimed at Jackson's unusual eating habit of eating chips with his ice cream. "I do that, too!" She said animatedly, her hands making wild gestures. Food was definitely a topic she felt quite passionate about. "Some people think I am crazy, but there's something about chips... maybe the saltiness of it that is the perfect compliment for chocolate and vanilla ice cream! Same thing with peanutbutter and apples for me." At this, she took a large bite of her sundae, then closed her eyes as if imagining something. "What I'd give for a plate of fries." Then she looked at him. "Maybe we should get some after? Barbecue chips. Or... onion blossoms." A pause. "Too weird?"

Nymphadora giggled at Jackson's teasings. "Nastier ones?" he asked. When he finally agreed to the game, she lit up even more. "Alright. What is the nastiest Bertie Bott's Bean you've ever downed? Or better yet, what's the nastiest thing you've ever eaten?"

His eyes grew wide as she said that she ate chips with her ice cream too. Finally someone that didn't think he was weird for it, who actually did the same thing. Just another thing that was amazing about Dora, really. "I don't think you're crazy at all! I completely agree. The two tastes just work so well together. It's amazing." He loved food, too, and he could go on talking about it for quite a while. He'd even written a song about it once, just to be silly. "Oh, yum. Fries. And no, that's not too weird. I like those, thank you very much."

"UM. Nastiest bean. Gee, I dunno. I've had some pretty bad ones. Ashes, like from fags? Those are horrible." He pondered her next question and then made a face. "Pickled okra. It's absolutely disgusting."
