Who: Tony Flint and Piper Wood
What: Hogsmeade Date Proving he is not boring.
Where: Outside the Great hall and Hogsmeade
When: 10 p.m.
Rating: TBA
Status: Incomplete

Tony has way too much on his mind to be amused by the mistakes of the 7th years. He'd been putting this Saturday out of his mind for days, and bow that it was here he couldn't exactly ignore it anymore. Now that he was waiting in the Great Hall for Piper Wood to show up.

He ran the scenario back through his head many times in the pursuit of figuring out how he'd gotten himself into this kind of predicament. What did it matter if people thought he was boring? Why did HE have to prove anything to Piper Wood of all people? His father was going to be furious. 'Dating the enemy's spawn!' he'd say. Tony could hear the howler in his head already. Even with Avalon being proud he had a 'date', she still said he could do better.

Not that this was a date. Far from it... Tony was just proving he wasn't boring. That was it... not a date. And he would make sure Piper Wood KNEW that! And speaking of her, Tony looked up to the stairs looking for her. Where was she anyway?!

Tony arched an eyebrow at that explanation and he supposed he got his answer to what this was. Not a real date. Because she said she could have gotten one of those, but she was with him instead. QED, not a real date. And oddly enough... the idea of that made him feel even more uncomfortable. Because what was this then?

"Are you watching me to see if I do tricks? Well I'm sorry Miss Wood, but seeing as we've only been walking and not actually in the town yet, there isn't much I can do," he said. He couldn't help the sarcasm, it just slipped out. "I could trip if you wanted, but then we'd be back at cranky again and I feel we've already made so much progress from that," Tony said giving a smirk that didn't reach his eyes.

Piper had figured he wouldn't want a real date with her, so why would it be a real date? Besides a real date didn't consist of daring a bloke into it either, that wasn't the way a date was supposed to go. The guy was supposed to ask the girl and make it nice and fun, not challenging and slightly annoying. It wasn't going badly, but it was still sort of odd.

"What do you do? Spend time trying to figure out how to be a sarcastic prat? Or is that your way of making sure no one actually talks to you?" She snapped at him shaking her head. "Because if it is, that's sort of a pathetic way to do it, people aren't so bad you know." Although clearly thinking that spending time with a Flint would be fun was a BIG mistake. Although it wasn't boring either, and even if she was annoyed, she didn't want leave him hanging... That'd be mean, and Piper might be slightly mean at times, but she wasn't a full on bitch.

"Maybe I just am a sarcastic prat," Tony said though he wasn't so keen on what she was saying. She didn't know him, and here she was trying to dig out all his faults. "And why do you think I'm so anti-social that I don't want to talk to people? You don't have to be friendly to everyone you know. I do have friends," he said.

Maybe he didn't have a lot of friends, but that was fine with him. He had Gwen and Athena just to name a couple. But they also wanted him to go to Hogsmeade and have fun so they were bad examples.

"Fine you are just some sarcastic prat. I get it. Why did you agree to this if you were just going to be rude and cranky the full time. But congrats that's great for you." She snapped at him her arms crossing tighter around her.

"So why are you here with me if you have friends? You could just go join them." She added glaring at him. She wasn't sure she wanted to look at him, but she couldn't look away, that'd be too mean.

Tony stopped and turned to look at her. He really... didn't expect to make her this angry. Would she really just call it all off? It seemed so, if she was willing to let him go be with his other friends. But that just seemed like a cope out, since he didn't even want to go to Hogsmeade in the first place.

"I'm here because we had an agreement," Tony said looking back at her as she glared. He found he couldn't look away from her either, even with her glaring, but he couldn't make himself glare back. "Alright. I'll stop. Can we just get to the town so we can do something?"

Piper stopped as well. She didn't stop glaring at him for a little while. She didn't feel like it was a good situation right now. Piper stopped glaring at him slightly as he spoke, well he didn't seem to want to just call it off, why not? He didn't really seem like he wanted to be near her anyways, why was this so complicated? It kept getting her a little bit more angry.

"An agreement you..." She stopped, he wasn't glaring at him, and he said he'd stop. Somehow she wasn't so sure.

"Okay." She said turning to stop walking again, making sure the flick her long hair slightly.

"Right," he said starting to walk again. They were at least closer to Hogsmeade now. Tony was silent for a few minutes, not even sure what to say now. The sarcasm and all... at least it was avoiding the awkward silences. Well it was only awkward because she'd been glaring at him.

"So... after Three Broomsticks, do you want to go to Honeydukes or something?" he asked. He decided on not suggesting her go get his quills and ink because that would be 'boring'.

Piper sighed slightly as they walked towards the town. She didn't like the idea of how neither of them seemed to have anything to say, arguing was easier, and now that she'd decided that wasn't good nothing was left to talk about. How was that possible? They had classes together, they had to agree on one thing right? She rolled her eyes when she looked away from him before he even started talking.

She turned back looking at him. "Sure that sounds good." She said with a soft smile. Piper didn't want to be totally rude, and she loved sweets. It'd be good for her to get someone that might calm her down. Sweets did that.

"Good," he said nodding and looking away a bit. It was weird... he had a hard time looking at her when she was smiling. It felt strange, and he couldn't explain that. It made him want to smile back but... no that would just be too awkward just after coming out of arguing.

"So, have any of your siblings been complaining about their hair lately?" Tony asked, trying to find some topic... the silence was getting to him. "My sister wants to murder whoever did it. It makes me wonder, if the 6th and 7th years have been creating trouble in class, what's in store for us? Or are we going to be the 'good' class this year."

"Only Olie was in that class, but I haven't heard anything from him. He's probably hiding or something. He doesn't want to show people his hair colour right now I bet." She said shrugging slightly. She actually was a little worried about Olie, really after that 'friend' of his had to make life more complicated. It sort of made her dislike Ashley Davies. How could she not keep that to herself? And than go on about how people would actually care about what her little dairy said. No!

Piper sighed slightly. "Yea, I think a lot of people wanted to murder whoever did it, but it is kind of funny." She said shrugging slightly. Piper thought for a moment. "I don't know. Maybe, or maybe we'll cause even a bigger mess." She said before adding quickly. "I doubt you'd be the cause though."

"I'm not sure about Avalon, she mentioned something about not going to Hogsmeade, but I think I saw her giving in the Great Hall, giving a death glare to a Hufflepuff. So I guess she'd still planning on leaving the castle after all," Marcus said. He couldn't understand his sister's need to be so vocally against anyone not a Slytherin or pureblood... the days of majority elitism long gone. Did she have to be so obvious?

"It is incredibly funny. Professor Cotton wasn't too pleased though," he said. Tony nodded. "With all the additional work, it wouldn't be surprised if someone in our year took a nervous breakdown," he said. He arched an eyebrow at her last comment. He almost said 'Why would I have been a cause?' but realized that would just bring them back to the crankiness... so he settled for, "Thank you."

Piper just sort of nodded and shrugged, Avalon Flint wasn't someone Piper would pick out of a crowd for being "nice." She wasn't the type of person she liked at all. She always seemed stuck up and annoying, but Piper wasn't going to say that. She probably figured that'd be a mean thing to say, and lead to more fighting. Although it was starting to become clear that no matter what they talked about fighting didn't seem like a bad option.

"I guess if they do, they'll either fail out of the class or half make it through." She said shrugging. There were a lot of other things to life than classes. After all she'd never been big on just focusing on classes. Piper had always liked life too much.

"At least you know, there are other things to do outside of classes."

"I suppose that's what some people have to do," Tony said shrugging. Failing was never an option for him, or quitting. He knew he was smart enough to keep up with the additional work. Even with the prefect duties now.

Tony didn't know what to say about that last comment. There was very little he did outside of class. He had charms club before... and now he had Prefect duties. But other than that, he didn't know. The picks for the Ancient Runes club would be soon though. But Tony didn't have anything like Quidditch to fall back on. "I suppose so. For some."

It was a good thing he didn't voice some of that stuff, Piper had just as much stuff she was just not as focused on classes all the time. She was more for having fun. She enjoyed fun. Piper knew she wouldn't fail the class, an A was probably all she'd get but she wasn't worried about that.

Piper gave him a sort of unamused look. What was this? The most boring conversation ever? Right because talking about things was so hard. It wasn't like she wasn't a prefect too after all, she did what she had too, Piper just didn't complain or worry about it at all. "Yea." Was all she said as she crossed her arms.

Tony felt more like scowling at himself now. He was getting boring again. That seemed to be one thing about Piper Wood... her moods were very easily noticed.

They were headed into the town now, and he walked towards Three Broomsticks, looking to see if Piper was following him. He almost wanted to ask what she thought of OWLs so far but... that was also boring. "Are you going to be in Charms club again this year?"
