Tony has way too much on his mind to be amused by the mistakes of the 7th years. He'd been putting this Saturday out of his mind for days, and bow that it was here he couldn't exactly ignore it anymore. Now that he was waiting in the Great Hall for Piper Wood to show up.

He ran the scenario back through his head many times in the pursuit of figuring out how he'd gotten himself into this kind of predicament. What did it matter if people thought he was boring? Why did HE have to prove anything to Piper Wood of all people? His father was going to be furious. 'Dating the enemy's spawn!' he'd say. Tony could hear the howler in his head already. Even with Avalon being proud he had a 'date', she still said he could do better.

Not that this was a date. Far from it... Tony was just proving he wasn't boring. That was it... not a date. And he would make sure Piper Wood KNEW that! And speaking of her, Tony looked up to the stairs looking for her. Where was she anyway?!

He wasn't really looking for anyone else to talk to her. He wasn't a quitter, and he wasn't going to just walk out on his dare, he'd prove he wasn't boring. Even though he was startling himself by his own personal observations about how very dull he actually could be. Why did he have to be entertaining?

"You're welcome," he said before sitting down at the table and taking a drink of his own butterbeer. She was being quiet, and even though he didn't know Piper that well, that did not seem typical of her. More than likely it was him. He was the cranky git who only seemed to be good company to a rare few.

"So..." She said after taking a sip of her butterbeer. It was still weird that he was this.... Piper couldn't find the right word in her head, she just didn't get him at all. He wasn't dumb, but he was sort of cranky and boring. Yet, she found him completely interesting. She wasn't sure what to do about it at all.

"What is your favourite picture ever? Anything really." She asked sort of out of no where, she needed to say something right?

"My favorite picture?" Marcus repeated to himself to see if he had heard her correctly. "Well... probably Raphael's School of Athens. That ones always interested me. Course I haven't seen the original," he said wishing he could have.

"A lot from the Renaissance period. Whenever I go with my mother to Paris, I go off to the Louvre on my own," he said taking a sip of his butterbeer. "What about you?"

Piper couldn't help but start to feel like a total idiot sitting with him. Great, now she'd be boring because she wasn't as smart as him. That was the last thing she needed to deal with. "Oh. Thats really cool." She said honestly with a friendly smile. "I guess I never really pictured you as someone going into the Louvre." She said honestly. "I'm sorry, probably not a fair thing to say.. But with. Well you know."

Great, now she was being an even bigger idiot. Piper took a sip and sighed. She didn't know what to do. "Honestly... A few pictures, really just things from when my parents were in school, and just some of the pictures past that. It's an album. Or the picture of him pushing my brother into the lake, Olie, not Porter or Jacob." She said moving some hair behind her ear.

And now it was Tony's turn to be embarrassed. He should have thought she meant something like photographs, or paintings in the school or something. Really and here he was spouting on about Muggle Paintings, which he shouldn't have been doing anyway, probably something that she didn't find interesting at all.

"I know... it's a bit off. But like I said I usually go on my own, or with Zara. Mum just ignores it really, and Dad doesn't know," he explained, not even sure why he was telling her this. "That must be nice. So you're the only girl then? I wasn't sure... you do have a lot of siblings."
