Braden didn't know what was going on with Hogwarts lately, but he really wished whoever or whatever it was that was slipping things into his drinks at dinner would lay off. Over the past few months, he had experienced far too many bizarre incidents, including but not limited to: falling madly in love to the point of worship with his now girlfriend, seeing orange, and singing in foreign languages.

He was beginning to think this spree of potions was never going to end until he was out of Hogwarts, which meant another year of this insanity. He wasn't entirely sure he could handle falling in love with every girl who passed his way for that much longer, and he had a feeling his relationship with Zara could handle it either.

Sighing, Braden collapsed upon one of the couches in the Gryffindor common room, tossing the book he had no real intention of reading to the floor at his feet as he leaned back and got comfortable. At least he wasn't bursting into song anymore.

Shane had finally stopped singing in a foreign language. He thought his owl could screech better than he could belt out a high E. But at least he was not falling in love with someone other than Samantha or becoming extremely jealous of some guy.

He walked down the stairway leading from the Boy's Dormitories to the Gryffindor Common Room. No matter how hard he tried he could not grasp the words in which his eyes scanned over and make them stick in his brain. He wanted to socialize, noticing that lately he had become a bit social. It was probably a result of age.

Noticing two famliar heads, a smile spread across his face. He creeped over to them and once behind the couch, banged their heads with his hands like drums. "Hey," he greeted them with a wave of his hand. He then traveled around the couch and plopped in a near-by chair.

"Hey Sam," Braden greeted cheerfully. He hadn't hung out with Samantha in quite some time. She was usually the one he went to for advice with all things female (since Shane tended to be slightly lacking in that category) but things had been going so well with Zara lately, that he, for once, hadn't really needed advice. Imagine that.

"I'm studying, can't you tell?" He grinned at the book that lay unopened on the floor.

"Oi!" Braden rubbed his head as his brother entered the scene. "You could just wave like normal people you know, Shane." He looked to Samantha and grinned. "Don't know how you put up with him, Sam."

"Oh yes, very good studying habits." Samantha replied with a laugh. "Hey!" Samantha said around the same time Braden said, 'Oi'. Turning her head she watched Shane come in. Her eyes narrowed playfully as she leaned over to give her boyfriend a kiss. Hoping that it wouldn't gross out her best friend too much.

"Usually he's a lot nicer to me." Samantha said grinning at them both.

"What fun would it be if I did that?" He asked, chuckling. "Plus, when have you ever considered me normal?" it had been quite a while since two of his top favorite people were in the same room together. Lately he had been so busy that he never had time to catch his breath and socialize. Now was the perfect opportunity.

Shane kissed his girlfriend and a wide grin appeared on his face. But it dissapeared as he pretended to be offended. "Hey!" He said, unsuccessfully holding a straight face.

He crossed his arms, sloutching in the seat. "So what's up?" He asked, craving to know how everyone was.
