Day 11
Who:: Robin, Sarah and Torin
What:: Running the Labyrinth
When:: Early Morning
Where:: Uh... the Labyrinth
Rating:: PGish?
Status:: Incomplete

Robin rose early, before the sun could, and began to make his preparations for the Labyrinth. He filled a pack with food supplies from the kitchen, along with water. He also made sure that he had things with which to treat minor scrapes and lacerations. He ensured that his quiver was full of fletched arrows and his bow was restrung. He packed a change of clothing and an extra pair of boots. He also packed a fur-lined cloak in case it continued to snow.

When he was certain that he was ready to go, he dressed comfortably in traveling clothes and strapped his sword to his waist and slung his bow over his shoulder. Both his pack and his quiver went over the other and cinched tightly to assure mobility. With his key and his journal safely tucked away, Robin left his room and headed for the outdoors.

He was surprised to see that the snow was sparse and he wondered if it would melt away before it snowed again. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, so he hurried along until he found his way to the entrance of the Labyrinth. Casting his gaze around, Robin searched for the companion he was to have on the journey, Sarah.

Robin gave Torin a sideways glance as she muttered and cursed about civilians. Whatever those were. He assumed she meant Sarah and himself. He bit his tongue. No need to get into it before they really got into the Labyrinth. Besides, she was a woman, and he was more honorable than all that. He turned back to Sarah and gestured that she should continue down the chosen corridor.

Torin took up the rear, while he and Sarah walked side by side. He wanted to be in front in case they encountered something frighting or dangerous. She didn't have any weapons. Not that Torin did either. At least, not that Robin could tell. Whatever it was she had in her hand didn't look to him like it could do anything but perhaps be thrown.

He pulled his bow off his shoulder and knocked an arrow into it. He walked with it held out in front of him, not completely at the ready, but close enough. He was quick and could hit even the smallest target. He was even a challenge for that elf who didn't seem able to miss anything. He bit his tongue, not willing to sing anymore, and just continued around corners and down more corridors. They didn't seem to be getting anywhere. And it had been more than an hour already, he was sure.
