Day 11
Who:: Robin, Sarah and Torin
What:: Running the Labyrinth
When:: Early Morning
Where:: Uh... the Labyrinth
Rating:: PGish?
Status:: Incomplete

Robin rose early, before the sun could, and began to make his preparations for the Labyrinth. He filled a pack with food supplies from the kitchen, along with water. He also made sure that he had things with which to treat minor scrapes and lacerations. He ensured that his quiver was full of fletched arrows and his bow was restrung. He packed a change of clothing and an extra pair of boots. He also packed a fur-lined cloak in case it continued to snow.

When he was certain that he was ready to go, he dressed comfortably in traveling clothes and strapped his sword to his waist and slung his bow over his shoulder. Both his pack and his quiver went over the other and cinched tightly to assure mobility. With his key and his journal safely tucked away, Robin left his room and headed for the outdoors.

He was surprised to see that the snow was sparse and he wondered if it would melt away before it snowed again. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, so he hurried along until he found his way to the entrance of the Labyrinth. Casting his gaze around, Robin searched for the companion he was to have on the journey, Sarah.

He was finding all this singing business very strange, especially when both the women were doing it, too. It was downright embarrassing. Not because he didn't have a good voice, he was a rather nice sounding baritone, but the fact that he didn't have control over it was just wrong.

Sarah seemed surprised but not totally shocked and almost indignant at this involuntary singing. But then she knew the King and knew that this was probably his doing. They were all rather bothered by this, but it would do no good to stand around and stare at one another and not speak all day.

"As you wish, Torin." He turned to Sarah who was still feeling along the wall, and according to her sing-song words the entrance was in plain sight, but still invisible to them. He joined her at the wall and began to feel along it. His hand dipped out of sight a few seconds later and he knew he'd found the opening. It was concealed quite well.

"This must be it." He was trying not to talk as much, it was less humiliating that way. He looked to Sarah for confirmation and then to Torin. He could tell it was going to be a long day.
