Okay, so an amusement park wasn't exactly the best place to take the girl you fancied, particularly when she didn't know that you fancied her, but it was all the Doctor had to work with. And besides, it was sort of them. At least, it held the possibility of something going wrong, at any rate. Right?

The Doctor bounced around outside the TARDIS, the same as he had countless times before, waiting around for Rose to finish getting dressed. He was in his standard, a pinstripe suit and trainers, but he'd left the tie behind, unbuttoning the first button or two of his button down, going for a more casual look. That, and if he was going to get soaked, he'd might as well.

"Come on, Rose!" he hollered, banging on the door of the TARDIS, rolling his eyes. "There's no alien invasion, no race to be saved, no screaming...At least let me have the amusement park!"

The brush of his lips against her skin felt absolutely perfect and Rose released a soft sigh of pleasure as she felt her cheeks begin flushing. It was like she'd always dreamed of, but better, because her dreams typically took a darker turn at about that point.

"What Jack'll say about the fact that you screamed like a little girl?" she teased, though he hadn't. Rather than screams of horror, she'd heard laughter from behind her. And it felt so good to hear him laugh again. "Or what Jack'll say about..." Turning her head to where his was propped against her, she pressed a gentle kiss against the Doctor's temple. It didn't get better than this. "You know. What he'll say about...this."

She hopped out of the roller coaster, looking at him expectantly for both an answer to her question and for him to follow her. After all, Mr. Sparkly King could change his mind at any moment and turn this place into Nana's Petting Zoo, and there was still quite a bit to see and do.

The Doctor got out, all arms and legs and awkwardness again, and then brushed himself off, not even noticing that his hair had gotten to the point that it usually did when he was upset or thinking very hard. That is to say, it was everywhere. He didn't follow, but walked next to Rose with his hands shoved in his pockets and a cheesy grin on his face, bouncing on the toes of his trainers with every step. He was a happy Doctor, that was for sure.

"Neither, actually. I was wondering what he'd have to say about the time and dimension flux in this place. I mean with the landscape changing and the goblins..." he trailed off, clearly teasing her, and bumped her with his elbow. "Yes, us, you dumbo," he said, and then made a face. "Blimey, I sound like Donna."

Shaking that off and the bad feelings that came with it, the Doctor looked around. "What's next, Rose?" he asked, bouncing again. "Just no more bumper cars, I beg you."

Though she'd never tell him, Rose loved when his hair was like that. It was so uniquely Doctor. All wild and crazy, whether he was manic with ideas or bored and playing with it, it was completely his. She took advantage of his hands being in his pockets to reach up, smoothing it down just to the point where he didn't have that crazy Einstein thing going against him anymore.

For a moment, he had her going. Her eyebrows scrunched together with that 'what the hell are you on about' look and she tilted her head, staring up at him. But when the Doctor's elbow nudged her, she broke into a bright grin and bounced up and down a bit, her hands holding that elbow tightly. "Don't be a git, you're not supposed to go about calling me a dumbo, you know." Pausing, she considered. Should she? With a bite of her lip, Rose made her decision. "And you're going to have to tell me all about this Donna someday."

What next indeed? She slowed down, looking around them. There were more rides, more than she could count. Fast ones, slow ones, upside down ones, lose your chips ones, and kiddie ones. But she looked up at him with a wide-eyed, innocent expression and smiled serenely. "I do believe you promised to win me a stuffie, dear sir." She batted her eyelashes playfully, then turned around to face him as she walked backwards towards the Midway.
