Entry tags:armand, complete, day five, schuldig

Keep you free from sin, till the Sandman he comes
WHO: Schuldig and Armand
WHAT: Schu has Rose's nightmare, oh dear.
WHEN: Very early morning of Day Five, after Armand feeds on Juni again
WHERE: Their Room
RATING: Yeah, this'll be at least R.
STATUS: Complete

Schuldig rarely dreamt on his own. What he did get were other's dreams, that he was reading unconsciously while asleep. It was impossible to keep up shields while in deep, deep sleep, and he was most vulnerable to anything that people's minds sent him during these periods. Including dreams, and at the same time, nightmares. Tonight, his mind was tender and especially susceptible to stress, and he found himself wrapped up in someone else's nightmare.

There were large, frightening futuristic robots, and they were going after him. Who he was, Schuldig wasn't sure, but it was like he felt deeply for the man. It was one of the strangest feelings he'd ever had, but it all made sense in the dream. That is, it made sense in a terrifying way. He was tangled in his sheets and sweaty, his eyebrows creased in determination. Soon, his mind twisted the dream he was receiving from Rose. Now, the things were pouring a green liquid down his throat.

He shifted, screaming loudly as his back tore open, giant claws sprouted from his fingers, his face changed, huge mouths tore out of his shoulders, and he reformed into a drooling and raving beast. The robots may not have been familiar, the man may not have, but to Schuldig, this thing was. He'd seen dozens of varieties of these mutants, test subjects that were forced to change into monsters. It was especially chilling because he knew that if at any time during his stay in Rosenkreuz he had proved useless, he might have suffered the same fate as this man.

He was so deep into this horrible nightmare that he didn't wake or notice when Armand came in, though he would have loved to wake, or even realize it was a dream. As it was, it was all too terribly real, and another whimper escaped him. He'd be ashamed later, but at the moment he was just extremely distressed.

Puahing Armand back was something completely impossible for a human to do, unless the vampire wanted to go. And Armand had no interest at all in being pushed away. He kept his hands firmly on the telepath's temples, and his legs wrapped around Schuldig and kept him firmly anchored just where he was. Armand was panicking, and when he did that, he wasn't the most reasonable of people in the world. But he did calm down long enough to slide a quick barrier over his thoughts, to at least keep from terrifying the telepath any more than he already was.

His eyes flickered over the human, taking him in, and then he buried his face in Schuldig's neck and sort of quietly went to pieces. For once, feeding was far from his mind. Though he was not broadcasting any thoughts at the moment, he couldn't seem to make himself stop listening to Schuldig's mind, and the things he saw there were horrific. When the vampire raised his head, his tears had left red marks around his eyes, which he didn't bother to wipe away.

Perhaps normally, he would have shared this mentally. But that obviously wasn't going to work right now. So he spoke, very, very quietly, hating that the words were so inadequate, but not having a lot of choice. "Much is explained by what I've seen in your mind, what I still see. You have no idea what..." He shook his head firmly. No. He wouldn't. This wasn't about him and what the monks had wanted to do with him, it was about his lover.

So, he settled on the next best thing. Leaning down, he kissed the redhead softly on the lips, then pulled him close and just held him. No talking, mentally or otherwise, just simply the comfort of a being close to him. That, at least, Armand could do.

At the moment, Schuldig couldn't decide whether having Armand close was comforting or just making the whole situation worse. But it didn't look like he had any choice in the matter. It didn't stop him from pushing a moment longer, banging his fists into Armand's chest in frustration. He struggled, a confused and caged animal, before slumping pathetically, giving in to being held.

"I didn't want you to see that..." He spoke softly after a moment. Those memories were ones even he didn't care to think about, but he didn't need Armand thinking about them too, or worse, trying to talk to him about them. He'd gotten as over it as he was going to. It didn't need to be dragged up again by a silly nightmare. But he didn't try to block it away, either. He didn't have the will nor the care to do so at the moment. If Armand really wanted to know...he could.

"You...you should sleep. Sun's coming up." Whether he wanted the vampire to stay or not...not even Schu knew, really. But he felt it needed to be said, at the very least to have something to say. Sighing, he closed his eyes briefly and pushed gently against Armand's shields. Just enough to feel the blankness in his own mind, but not enough to find the chaos in Armand's.

The sensation was akin to pressing your cheek against a cold brick wall while bundled up in winter coats on a frigid night, or laying your head on a crisp, cool pillow while buried under blankets. All of the refreshment but none of the chill, yet still a little something that sent a shiver down your spine, until your whole body had became akin to the sensation, and it seemed like a neutral, calming temperature had spread throughout, rather than any one focused extreme. When his breathing had slowed and the images had faded from the vividness that they had been, settled to a deeper part of his mind, he opened his eyes and looked up into Armand's slowly. "Where were you?" He'd rather change the subject than deal with memories this morning, apparently.

Schuldig's fists on his chest didn't hurt. Not physically, at least. The blows, however, did wound him emotionally, and he gave the telepath a hurt, confused look. He was just trying to help, in his own incredibly messed up way. But he knew no other way to do it. But he continued holding his lover until he subsided and allowed it.

Softly, the vampire stroked that bright hair, letting the strands run through his fingers. He kept his silence until the human spoke, and only then did he allow his own lips to open. Yes, he had questions, he still didn't fully understand what he'd seen, but even he was sensitive enough to see that it wasn't something that was necessarily going to be a welcome topic of conversation.

"But I did see it. And, as I said, much is explained." He didn't stop the soft petting, nor the clinging, that he had been doing all along. "We won't speak of it, my love, so calm yourself. If you don't want me to, I won't ever bring it up. I swear by all that is holy." Although it wasn't at all his forte, Armand really was trying to do his best to soothe the human, to help him. He might be horrible at it, but he was trying.

The coldness that approached with the dawn was washing over him. It was inevitable. In the east, the sky was changing color, lightening, and the coming sunrise pulled him into a strange, unresponsive state. He roused himself enough to answer his lovers question, and didn't have the brains to do it anything other than with complete honesty. "I went to see the redheaded telepath, Juniper. She fought me." It had been fun, though, and he half-smiled, despite the effort it cost him. His eyes dropped closed, and he didn't breathe except to talk, so he very much looked like a recently dead corpse, lying on top of Schuldig.

"Maybe later," he sighed. He could tell that Armand was curious, and he thought it maybe better to quench that then to have the vampire rummaging around his head. Then, however, Armand's weight pressed down on him and he gave a slightly confused look, glancing up. The anger that rushed through him then as the words left his lover's mouth was almost terrifying in it's intensity.

He pushed Armand off of him roughly, the bed springs bouncing under the shifted weight, and backhanded him harshly across the face. It hurt, but oh, it felt so good. Armand deserved nothing more, in his opinion. "How fucking stupid an asshole are you?!" He shook his lover by the clothes roughly, before he realized then that getting any response was about as easy as getting a response from a corpse.

That angered him even more, of course, for although he knew Armand wasn't purposefully ignoring him, he thought it completely unfair that the boy could get out of this that easily. So then stood up, dragging him by his collar over to his coffin. "Fucking bastard," he muttered to himself. Off slid the heavy lid and in Armand was thrown. The message was very clear, as the lid slammed back over him. There was no way in hell that the vampire was going to get to sleep in the bed today.
